Apple - iPod Nano 3rd Generation Media Player — 

This is my first iPod/Apple purchase although not my first MP3 player.  I really am impressed that such a small item can hold almost 2000 songs and my Audible.com books too!  As a middle aged person, I have a hard time reading the labels without my reading glasses even when large type is selected in iTunes setup.  I was also surprised that there wasn't any way to attach a lanyard or other way to carry it; welcome to the world of optional assessories which in my opinion are too expensive for what they are.  I did get the FM transmitter (be sure to get one that works across the entire FM bandwidth) which was used for our entire 8 hour trip yesterday; I got one for each of our family's vehicles.  And, although 8GB is alot of storage, in retrospect I should have gotten one of the larger models where my entire music and Audible collection could be stored in one device.  Overall, I am very happy with this purchase but will reserve my final judgement until after the harddrive has lasted longer than the warranty period.
