So I was one of those crazy people standing in line for hours just to buy a phone. I use the word "phone" lightly because the iPhone is so much more than just a phone. Seriously, it will change the way we use mobile devices to talk on the phone, send messages, check weather and stock, view web… read full review »

Let me start off by saying that I love my iphone, but I don't think my iphone was ment to go through the hardship of it day to day uses with all of the features that it supports. I take care of my iphone with great care which is why it is so dissapointing when it broke. After about 2 months or so… read full review »

I'm torn on this one. I bought it, and 36 hours into it, I'm not sure its going to survive the 14 day return period. In some respects, its the best at its game. Its the first wide screen iPod, which makes a ton of sense for HD TV and movies. Its the first phone with a true browser. The details in the integration of the elements were obviously thought out very well. The Apple-designed widgets/applications are beautiful and well thought out as well. The phone's greatest feature may be that its the first cell phone I've used that doesn't feel like I'm trapped in a horrible Motorola or Symbian… read full review »

So I finally made the plunge!  After several years of being a happy Verizon and Windows Smartphone (Motorola Q most recently) customer, I switched to the Apple iPhone. I used it for several days before I ported my number from Verizon to make sure there were no fatal flaws.  Ultimately I decided that the iPhone's strengths outweighed its weaknesses . — Top 4 iPhone Weaknesses —… read full review »

Where do I start? Well, I'd like to address the most obvious crowd. If you already own and love your Mac (redundant?) and you tend to prefer smartphones like the Treo or some Windows Mobile-based device, then there is simply no better option out there for you. — — I have had several Palm-based and Windows smartphones over the years and none of them came close to extending my Mac experience to a handheld device. I also have many iPods, which are great of course but for a limited number of functions. It really wasn't until I began syncing the iPhone with my Mac Book Pro that I… read full review »

My husband had been nagging me for months to go buy a new cell phone.  Mine worked just fine although the battery was starting to need charging every 3 days but I knew this and expected it.  I finally gave in and went to the store to listen to all the hype from a salesman.  After hearing of the new data plans and rates being over $100 a month for cell phone charges and the data plan, I calmly stated that I'd rather have a new iphone.  The salesman nodded and said that would do everything I needed and only $20 a month tor text messages/data.  Basically, you are paying… read full review »

Here was my thought process: I don't need such an expensive gadget. I already have a phone, a camera, an iPod and a laptop. But, I have a birthday this month, and so, a convenient excuse for buying the Apple iPhone. — — From the very first touch point with the product, I was impressed. It comes in a beautfiully designed little box. Ear buds, a cradle / dock, USB cable, AC power adaptor, and a little instruction booklet called "finger tips" are all tucked inside the box. I hooked up the dock, launched iTunes, and within 5 minutes, I had updated my Cingular / ATT cellular plan,… read full review »

The iPhone speaks for itself. Get one in your hands and have the owner run you threw just three features [of its more than 16.] This will let you see how well thought out the iPhone is and how harmonious it works with its user. The iPhone is intuitive and efficient. If you're an active business-person on the go, this is the phone. — ps: the attached photos are taken from my iPhone. —… read full review »

Intro — I started hearing the rumors about the phone last year, once people began to see errant messages about "iPhone" on iTunes. Steve Jobs confirmed the rumors and gave us our first introduction of everything it could do early this fall. Since that moment, I have been watching the calendar and waiting. And waiting. And waiting. Once the big release date came out, I wasn't going to be one of those people in line. Then after I waited a few days, my husband talked me into waiting a month to be sure all the bugs were worked out. He said it was too bad I couldn't see one first to be sure… read full review »

I've used smartphones for years so I'm looking at the iPhone as it compares with other smartphone alternatives on the market: Treo, Blackberry, Sidekick, Motorola Q, etc. — — If I had to summarize my review in one sentence: If you care about having music with you at all times, the iPhone is the way to go, but if you just want a PDA+Phone then there are better options out there. — — First, I have to say, the iPhone is beautiful and it's a pleasure to use. It hooks you from the first second, the phone is so intuitive there is virtually no learning curve. It's amazing… read full review »

Unusual among early adopting gadget geeks, I am technically challenged. For example, I read the editing note beneath this box and I have no idea what Firefox or Camino are. Nevertheless, I purchased an 8GB iPhone on opening day, June 29, and now have a solid two weeks of daily experience. My initial impression was that it was a paradigm changing device. Nothing over the last two weeks has changed that impression. The touch screen is beautiful and works as advertised. It is simple to open the NY Times on line or use its Google Maps feature and zoom in or out by pinching in or out with your… read full review »

Day 1: Awesome  — Days 2-4:  FRUSTRATING — Yes, the iPhone has loads of cool functions which I played with right away:  loading my photos which expand and contract with my fingers' touch, the clicking sound of the little wheel where I set up time reminders, itunes, weather.  Lots of eye candy.  It's fun, very fun.   And wow, is it pretty.      — Once I got down to serious business, however - how to make this phone work for me in my very busy, crazy life of telecommuting, deadlines, travel,… read full review »

The Apple iPhone is a great piece of technology, however, has some limitations.  This all-in-one unit is generally a joy to use daily.  When there is no WiFi the edge connection is extremely slow and frustrating to use.  AT&T has 3G Technology available and it just bewilders me that they did not use that technology with the new iPhone.  I am surprised that the iPhone does not have a video camera nor a flash for the camera.  The speaker (singular...just one) sounds poor when the volume is on the highest setting and having another one would have been much better. … read full review »

The Apple iPhone insanity didn't really reach me until I walked into an Apple store last August.  I'm not an Apple person nor am I a technology or gadget geek, so I didn't really understand what all of the fuss was about... until I picked up the 8GB iPhone.  Then I knew that I had to have one and it was just a matter of time. — Flash forward about 6 months and I am the proud owner of this device.  The cost ($399) really was something that I had a difficult time with.  The fact that service for it is AT&T exclusive was another hurdle since we still had at least a year… read full review »
