Apple - iPhone (4GB) Cell Phone Review Summary

Cell phones continue to offer more and more capabilities and one phone that certainly pushes the limits is the Apple I-Phone. This cell phone is loved by its many fans for many reasons, and reviewers are quick to point out that the Apple I-Phone is great for its functionality as an Ipod, for its internet capabilities, for its Google maps, and for its easy to manage pictures. Looking for some cons doesn’t turn up many, but Apple I-Phone users do point out a few, like the non- standard headphone jacks and the below average built- in camera. Still, consumers feel the Apple I-Phone has “Everything You Need in One Device”, combining an Ipod with a cell phone, and they consider it one of the better Cell Phones available today.

At my age, I never expect anything great for my birthdays. I figure that if I want something, I can always buy it myself, and I frequently do. So for my birthday when my husband presented me with a small bag, I wasn't expecting much more than a card and a token gift. Imagine my surprise when I… read full review »

i got this thinking it would be easy to use and suit my laid back lifestyle. what is very important to me in a cell phone is texting and of course reception quality. i can not forward texts and the pictures i get on texts require me to go to a specific website and enter in a very long user log on… read full review »

The iPhone is just as wonderful as Apple made it out to be. It's easy to use and looks great too. The programs could use tweaking but you know Apple has new software up their sleeve and are working on adjustsments so it's all worth it. — — It's definitely not a business person's phone (you want to look at Blackberry and Treo for that).. unless you're a Mac based company. It's works great with my Mac and syncs seamlessly. I love the Google maps feature and the Edge network is surprisingly fast - so Safari and web surfing is faster than a 56K modem. Only thing that's missing… read full review »

The iPhone has made my life easier. Plain and simple. Before I got this little wonder I carried three pieces of equipment to carry out my daily business, A PDA, an iPod, and my regular old cell phone. This little guy has it all in one! — — - Easy to navigate contacts — — - Quick access to favorite numbers — — - To do lists and calendar options. — — While the glass does tend to get a bit smudged it is easily cleanable, and extremely scratch resistant. The display is crisp, clear, and highly responsive. The touch interface is really… read full review »

The iphone by Apple is a wonderful tool to use for pretty much any person in any buisness. I was told when I wanted to get one " your not a doctor or a lawyer. There is no reason you need one of those things." I work in a hospital and knew some doctors who owned one, so I asked what they used it for mostly. Pretty much all of them said they use it for buisness (email, patient information, buisness related texts) only about 20% of the time. the rest of the time they used it for personal… read full review »

I love my Apple Iphone but what was Apple  thinking when they built this phone? I notice that it does not automatically come with video, when texting, the only editing option is delete. I should be able to add the ph# that I received the text from to my contact list. And speaking of texting, it would have been nice to create a better keypad. Where it usually takes me seconds to create a text message, now takes minutes because the keys are too close together. Also text language is different but the Iphone tries to figure out what you are trying to say and if you aren't careful it will… read full review »

This is a fantastic consumer product for the person that just needs basic email, MP3 and phone capability.  It is not, however, a great fit for a business traveler who needs access to company Exchange server for email, contacts, calendar, etc.  The fact that you MUST use AT&T as your carrier limits those of us who's company only supports certain carriers as well.  You can "unlock" the phone to use on other GSM based networks (T-Mobile, etc.), but this process is not for your everyday Joe and may lead to problems in the future as new versions of the phone's software are… read full review »

Great phone, camera, music device, etc.  But diffucult to setup.  We have multiple accounts on our pcs and if you're not REALLY careful the iPhone will install all the email accounts.  The only way we saw to remove them was to restore to default settings.  Really wish Apple had better written instructions in the packaging. I'm constantly on the pc for work and pleasure - but I had reading instructions, etc on the pc.  I find it rather annoying.  That being said - once things were setup it was great.  I do wish it was easier to delete things: contacts, email… read full review »

i love new gadets. they are so much fun to play with and learn how to used. i wanted to see and play with the i-phone before i went out and spent the money on it to make sure i wanted it. when a patient of mine came into the office she had one and showed it to me. it is amazing. you can talk on the phone, check and send e-mail to other, im poeple, take photos and download them to you computer or e-mail them to some one, use it as an mp3 player. the only downside is that you have to send it back to the company once a year for a new battery replacement and it takes about a week for them to get… read full review »

When I brought this home, I played with it for 2 hours straight.  And I am NOT what you would normally refer to as a "gadget girl" or an Apple-phile (by any means).  Everyone should get one of these. — — The mapquest feature is invaluable.  I love to watch the throbbing red knot of traffic and find ways to get around it. — — The i-Pod function needs some work.  It's not as easy to use as the plain i-Pod.  Also, they make you buy an adaptor if you want to use non-Apple sports headphones.  Bill Gates would be proud. — —… read full review »

When I bought the iphone I was very excited and yet very disappointed. I was excited because I was going to get one of the most advanced cell phones ever made. I was going to get it today! You can make calls listen to music, read e-mails, surf the web, get directions and so much more!!! The bad thing is it was very expensive. around $800 dollars. I don't like the AT&T network anyways because it has very poor coverage and the EDGE internet service is rather slow. Overall I am very pleased with the phone. All my friends can't wait to get there hands on one, besides mine, this christmas. —… read full review »

The Iphone has changed my life drastically. I was extremely bored of the regular old flip phone, when I say a commercial for the Iphone on my tv. I thought to myself that looks pretty cool and the next dday i went out and got one. I absolutley love it. Part Ipod part phone. My favorite part is the touch screen, sure, occasionally you hit the wrong thing or you move your finger to fast, but who doesn't love a touch screen. It's way easier and faster than typing in everything and making sure you spell it… read full review »

This phone not only allows for seamless sych with my Apple laptop, but now I can easily synch my calendars and address book instead of thrying to use ACT and a Palm. For years I have been a PC user with all of the additional computer gadgets and toys. For the first time I can use one device to organize all of the details of my life with the simple click of a button. I also love the ability to have an integrated iPod! —… read full review »
