My husband is the tech one in the family when it comes to all the new gadgets. Me, all I want is a phone that actually calls people. Well, a little more than that wouldn't hurt; but, I knew I defanietly didn't need an iPhone. I really didn't think my husband di either until he proved me wrong - kinda.
When the phone first came out we went to the store and looked at them, like five times. This is something my husband does that drives me crazy. It wasn't until a co-worker of his bought one, and one fore his wife, that my husband had to have one. I personally thought paying that much for a phone was crazy unless you were using it for work purposes which he would not be doing. We bought him one anyway.
After the basic getting to know your phone stage we found the iPhone to be pretty easy to use. Now we only use it for the basics-email (the Edge network is actually pretty fast), web surfing, texting, calling, appointments, etc.-so nothing high tech going on here; but, my 10 year old can do the basics. I actually find myself using it very often to check email or look up a phone number or address when we are away from home somewhere. I use it enough that my husband has threatened to get me my own if I don't lay off his. The only reason I haven't jumped on the iPhone bandwagon is the size. Even though the screen is great and everything the phone just wouldn't fit in some of my purses.
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to keep borrowing my hubby's.
