I've finally caught up!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

Well, I did it. I bought an iPhone. I ditched my boring Motorola c290 flip phone (read review here). I went from featureless and plain to bleeding edge and beautiful.iPhone highlights - Activation: I was a Sprint customer whereas iPhone is AT&T only, so I had to break contract. I was really pleased with how smooth this process was. All iPhone activations occur through iTunes software. I had a couple extra steps to fill out regarding my Sprint account info. Amazingly, my iPhone was fully activated and my number was ported within the time it took to transfer over 3Gigs of music!

  • Usability: I wasn't sure I was going to get an iPhone until I was able to demo my cowork...

Love my Iphone

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have only had my iphone for a few months. It has so many features that I am still learning about. My old phone was the razor and I had had it for many years and was ready for an upgrade. This is a big difference with my old phone. I am able to connect to the internet, which will be great for vacation. I am able to load all kinds of apps-for my use and for grandchildren to use when they need to be occupied for a short time. It is wonderful to have my music on it and be able to use as an ipod. It is very easy to use and to charge. I don't use the texting feature,so can't review that. I am excited to be able to take such clear pictures, also, and videos.

Everything You Want & Need At Your Fingertips!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

My husband had been nagging me for months to go buy a new cell phone.  Mine worked just fine although the battery was starting to need charging every 3 days but I knew this and expected it.  I finally gave in and went to the store to listen to all the hype from a salesman.  After hearing of the new data plans and rates being over $100 a month for cell phone charges and the data plan, I calmly stated that I'd rather have a new iphone.  The salesman nodded and said that would do everything I needed and only $20 a month tor text messages/data.  Basically, you are paying more for a phone but in the long run, I'll come out ahead.  Features & OptionsThe Apple ...

Worth the wait? You Betcha!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

IntroI started hearing the rumors about the phone last year, once people began to see errant messages about "iPhone" on iTunes. Steve Jobs confirmed the rumors and gave us our first introduction of everything it could do early this fall. Since that moment, I have been watching the calendar and waiting. And waiting. And waiting. Once the big release date came out, I wasn't going to be one of those people in line. Then after I waited a few days, my husband talked me into waiting a month to be sure all the bugs were worked out. He said it was too bad I couldn't see one first to be sure I wanted to buy it. I said they have them to try out at the Apple store, but he looked a...

Made Something Great Even Better

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I was one of the lucky users of the original Apple iPhone. This meant I got in on the ground floor. Not only did I pay $600 originally (and have many people laugh at me), but I've sat witness to all of its changes. What started out to be a really expensive phone is turning into what I originally envisioned, a really small mobile computing center. My original two year contract was up, and I just couldn't help myself but buy the new and improved Apple iPhone 3GS to get in on the additional speed and features. Don't get me wrong; I could have gone along using my old iPhone for quite some time and been quite happy. But I knew there was something else out there calling my name. Last year when th...

Why I switched from the Motorola Q to the Apple iPhone

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

So I finally made the plunge!  After several years of being a happy Verizon and Windows Smartphone (Motorola Q most recently) customer, I switched to the Apple iPhone. I used it for several days before I ported my number from Verizon to make sure there were no fatal flaws.  Ultimately I decided that the iPhone's strengths outweighed its weaknesses .

Top 4 iPhone Weaknesses

  • Contacts and Calendar do not synch "over the air" like they do with Active Sync on the Smartphone.  If/when Apple and Microsoft get together to implement the "direct push" software for Exchange server that should enable this over the air syncing, I will be a very h...

FYI fanboys - iPhone 3G has some serious flaws

    Overall
    Rated 4 out of 5

I purchased my iPhone 3G last Saturday and have had several problems with it that you should be aware of before you run out and drop down $199 commit to a two year contract.

While I love the iPhone's web surfing, weather, maps etc, integration with Exchange has always been a sore spot for me so I was excited when Apple announced it would work seamlessly with ActiveSync....

Well it turns out that there are some limits for a "power user" of Exchange.

I have 7,500 contacts and simply put the iPhone is choking on them.  I also receive 150+ e-mails a day, which might be above average but is not off the charts.   These two facts are causing some serious battery and performance pr...

The Apple iPhone 3G is worth the upgrade...I think.

    Overall
    Rated 4 out of 5

The **Apple iPhone 3G **has officially arrived. Is it worth the upgrade? My answer is "probably". Although my review of the original Apple iPhone was extremely positive, I anxiously awaited its upgrade for two reasons: faster data speeds and GPS capabilities.

If you are lucky enough to use the Apple iPhone 3G in a metropolitan area like Chicago, all web pages will load noticeably faster on the the third generation "3G" mobile network. If you are lucky enough to reside on planet Earth, the **Apple iPhone 3G **will always know its location down to a few feet. Put these two features together, and a powerful all-in-one mobile device is born.

    Those are the two bi...

I don't know how I ever lived without this phone!

    Overall
    Rated 5 out of 5

I don’t know how I ever lived without this phone.  Seriously it has changed my life so much.  I do everything on it and it was easy to use right out of the box.  It never has problems, has great battery life, is easy to hold and talk on.  I love it.  The typing is actually easy and quick to get used to.  I love how you can flip it horizontal and the keys get bigger to type.  The internet is easy to use, bookmarks work great and its so convienent how things move seamlessly through maps, email, contacts and phone.  Everything works together great and you'll never need "the manual"!.  I like the customization of some features such as the alerts.  You can make it vibrate, beep or nothing when you get an email, text or anything.  You can import your calendar or calendars and they work with the alerts too.  Everything in the interface is self explanatory and the lack of buttons really is an asset!.

    Apple iPhone 3g

    Overall
    Rated 4 out of 5

I have had this phone since 2009. I was originally excited to get the phone and all the free apps associted with the phone. I find that there were a lot of free apps which I was happy about but I found out that I did not use all of them. Lately I have been talking with my friends and they have been showing me things on there iPhones that I did not know about. My rep didn't in finding out some of these things didn't do a good job of really explaining a lot of the functions on my phone. My biggest problem is battery life. I have a charger in my car, at work and at home up and downstairs. It really sucks that the battery goes down so fast. This is really my only complaint with the phone. I am up for a new phone and I am thinking about staying with my iPhone family.

    I love my iphone!

    Overall
    Rated 5 out of 5

This is my first Iphone. I have had other phones such as Blackberry bold but this phone has so much more capabilites. The main reason is because of the App store and the large selection of Apps available. Everything is made available for the iphone first. I also love the large screen to watch movies and videos on. For instance the Netflix on Android doesn't let you actually watch what is in your instant Que the way the iphone app does. Also I love listening to music on my phone and the i pod in the iphone is the best for listening to my music in the car or through my headphones. If you have a cassette player all you have to do is buy one of those adapters and you are ready to go.  Of co...

iPhone 3G (8GB) Cell Phone, not exactly a phone

    Overall
    Rated 4 out of 5

After having being testing my wife's iPhone 3G (8GB) Cell Phone by Apple for some time I have a positive idea of the product. It is a one-hundred-per-cent-postive opinion but it is quite good.

The first thing that I would say is that the Apple iPhone 3G (8GB) Cell Phone is something more than just a cell phone. The iPhone is like a little computer. You can access the internet easily, though the Safari browser is not very good. Now it seems you can use other browsers but I have not tested them. You can also use a sort of GPS map application. This one is good but is not as good as a regular GPS.

You can download thousands of applications, the well-known apps. There are good applications but ...

    Amazingly unforgettable Apple iphone!

    Overall
    Rated 5 out of 5

Apple iphone 3G - I thought they were too trendy.  I had no idea that I would ever want one.  My (self-professed) computer geek of a husband thought he'd never recommend one at first.  I was up for an upgrade in February, 2009 and he recommended that I get one.  I've had mine for nearly 2 months and now my husband wants one, too.  I was never one to carry around my phone and sit around with it most of the day...but I am now!  The next best thing to sliced bread!  I'm having fun with my phone and it's so very handy, too!  When I get a new phone it'll only be an upgrade from this one to another iphone!

Has all these little free apps to just have fun with when you're sitting around waiting here and there.  I love it 'cause I hate to get involved in a game that takes a whole lot of time.  And, you don't have to save certain games, either, they're just there when you go back to them (what a bother reliever)!  Won't ever forget this one!

WOW!! What a phone. My husband wants one now!!

    Overall
    Rated 5 out of 5

I was not sure at first on getting this phone but it does it all. Now my husband wants one. What can you not do with this phone. It has great apps on it and many are free. I can organize my daily calendar on there and put things in for the future as well. It takes great pictures. I can web browse fast and also look at my internet. It can send emails fast and better than any other web phone that I have had in the past. Easy touch screen. Easy texting and buttons are good size to heat. This phone also sinks with my car so that I can talk through my car hands free via the blue tooth and there is no bulky piece in my ear. Has a great speaker system for the IPOD on it and works great sinking all ...

    Like Any Other

    Overall
    Rated 3 out of 5

When I first bought this phone in 2010, I thought I would be able to boast about it for at least a year, but I guess not. Apple is coming with newer and more better technology with so much pace and alacrity, that sometimes I just wished I haven't spent so much dollars on something that would be considered obselete and discontinued in a few months. There are so many smartphones to choose from these days that it just boggles my mind. On the bright side, I don't think I will change or upgrade my phone anytime soon as it still works and does its job perfectly. It combines both Ipod, phone, camera (even if it is bad), alarm and every gadjet that would have otherwise made my pockets look like a bomb. It also has Apps for weather, stock and its airplane mode is great for frequent business fliers. The downside though is that I could never be able to use the whole 16 GB that it came with and the battery runs out really fast.
