I'll be the first to admit that I know almost nothing about computers. I do, however, use them all the time - for research, typing school papers, making PowerPoints, Facebook, and checking my e-mail. Growing up, I only had PCs, and was constantly frustrated by how slow they were and how hard to use. Now we finally got two iMacs at home and I absolutely love them! You never have to wait for anything and they don't crash if you open multiple tabs on the internet browser like our old PC. This computer has literally NEVER given me any trouble at all. Not only that, but they are remarkably easy to use. All of the applications are easily accessible in the bar at the bottom of the screen. The one thing that took some getting used to was having to click "Macintosh HD" to open my documents instead of clicking "Programs" and going to open. That's an easy adjustment though.
The one problem I have with this computer is that the screen is absolutely gigantic. When it is sitting a foot away from you on a desk, it pretty much fills up your vision. Who needs something that huge? Sure, it's definitely great when you do a group project and have several people clustered around the screen or when you want to sit back a few feet and watch a movie, but every time I sit in front of it to do my work I can't help but think, "This has to be horrible for my eyes."
Nonetheless, I highly recommend this computer to anyone, Mac or PC user. It will give you way fewer problems than a PC! (Just beware of the price tag...)
