The new IMAC/EMAC is a marvel. Gone are my days of Microsoft supported computers. This is my first experience with an Apple product since we bought our kids an Apple computer over 20 years ago. They have come a long way. — The 20" monitor is about an 1 1/2" thick but contains everything… read full review »

This computer is great if you want to make or watch movies, but that's where it ends.  Without purchasing an expensive upgrade (for an already very expensive computer), you will find that there are a large number of websites and programs that are not compatible with this computer.  Some… read full review »

The iMac is something that everyone should have.  It's user-friendly, compact, and sleek and modern.  The iMac is perfect for someone that has never used a MAC before, but would like to try one.  They are reasonably priced and take up very little space.  Everything is contained in the screen, so you don't have a big bulky tower.  Also, you don't have to worry about viruses and bugs and all the junk that goes with that.  I love the freedom I have with a MAC.  Also, most of the good programs have a MAC version, so that shouldn't steer you away from getting… read full review »

I recently switch from Windows to Mac and my first thought is "I definitely should have done this long ago." The first thing that left me in awe was I plugged my digital camera into the USB port and the computer told me it was ready to import the images (I haven't even placed the software CD for the camera into the computer). Also, it gave me the option of deleting all the pics from my camera upon completion of upload. The software the camera came with didn't even offer that feature. — No upgrade nightmares, Macs do not need replaced as often due to easier upgrades. — Best… read full review »

I grew up on Macs. Since I was two, I was used to the Apple format, shortcuts, programs, and have always found it to be a very intuitive platform. I enjoy the ease of downloading programs, but I realize that sometimes the platform is not supported in this world of PCs. The Apple stores and support hotlines have always been helpful when I needed them. Being a teacher, they also give me a great software bundle when purchasing a computer, and I know that they offer incentives, such as a free iPod, for students doing the same. —… read full review »

If you are looking to switch to a user friendly computer this is it. It is definitely worth the extra money to get the quality it is. The set up is easy straight out of the box just like they say. It's also great not having a bulky wire mess, it's almost like having a lap top but still the luxury of having a desktop. —… read full review »

I've just recently bought for myself this wonderful AppleiMac computer. My aspirations were, that it would definitely help me to do my work more efficiently. Boy, was I right! It helps me to do just about anything, what I'm required from my job. I type, print, store information, research different web sites, if I need some additional info. Very helpful working tool indeed. Now, couldn't do without it. Thanks,… read full review »

I am a lover of Mac computers, so I'm really enjoying my new Apple iMac. I also have a PC to use for different functions, but the PC doesn't feel quite as comfortable to me as my Apple  iMac does. — I'm also enjoying downloading, and listening to music with iTunes because it offers the best music player available. —… read full review »

Okay, this is probably going to sound like an ad, but I really feel this way! I LOVE my iMac!! Everything is super easy to use and always works how it's supposed to. I use a PC and my Mac and I have to say, if I could, I would only use my Mac. And that brings us to the only con--there are a lot of programs that are not Mac compatible. Because PCs can be more affordable (b/c anyone can create/market a PC), more people tend to buy them hence, more programs are made for the PC. This also means more viruses are made for the PC. Which brings us back to the pros. I have yet to encounter a virus… read full review »

I was given a mac when i was in 4th grade from the school, to keep till 6th, back then, thought it was great. Since then had a pc up until last year. Got my mac, and It is by far the best, most up to speed computer. Previous complaints about incompatible webpage's with safari, simple fix, download FireFox, that fixes 99% of my issues. As for software for the computer, Easy, Apple.com free shipping on orders over $50. I have only purchased a few things for this computer, toast for burning movies, photoshop cause i thought it was fun to play with and Microsoft Office for school. 2 out of the 3… read full review »

The first Computer I ever got was an Apple Performa 550. Since then I have been the proud owner of an iMac. If you want to be sure that you don't have to deal with computer viruses, system crashes and all those other time-wasters, iMac is for you. It's really easy to use also. You just turn it on and GO!!! A lot of people I know say that they wouldn't want an iMac because you can't find programs for it easily. I have to say that, over the last 10 years this has improved tremendously. If I can't find a program that I want in store. I usually can find it online. Also, although iMacs… read full review »

Online, you can configure the 24-inch iMac to carry up to 1TB of storage, 4GB of memory, and a 2.8-GHz Core 2 Extreme processor. Connectivity capabilities include gigabit ethernet, AirPort Extreme 802.11n (draft) wireless networking, integrated Bluetooth 2.0, and an infrared receiver for use with the included remote control. (All of these features were offered in the previous-generation iMac as well.) — PC World's Test Center used Apple Boot Camp 1.4 to load Windows Vista Home Premium onto the iMac. On our WorldBench 6 Beta 2 benchmark test suite, the unit turned in a respectable… read full review »
