Apple iMac Desktop Computer Review

Macintosh...what can I say! I recently purchased the 20" iMac Intel superdrive and it is fantastic. Being an artist I have always been a Mac freak. Compared to Bill Gate's PC's, they blow them out of the water! In the almost 20 years I've used Macs, I've had it crash maybe 2 or 3 times and have never had a virus.

Both Steve's new what they were doing when they invented the Apple computer. They took the common folk in mind rather than throwing out a less than perfect product for profit only.

Every time I upgrade my Mac (which is only about every 7 years lately), they just get better, smaller, more features and the new iMac 20" Intel is superb! I love the side loading of CDs and DVDs, the dock makes it so much more organized than earlier versions, and when they worked together with Adobe applications, it is the perfect combination you could ever ask for!

I also love the new built-in web cam and microphone and with the new macs, I'm still trying to figure out where the speakers are and how they made the chips etc. so small it's just a matter of taking a small panel apart to add memory.

I got mine brand new with over 300 gigs of hard drive memory, 2 gigs RAM, superdrive...all the bells and whistles for only $1,100! Top that Bill Gates!

I'm not much of a game player so i don't know how macs fair with video games. The only problem I have with this new mac is the built-in webcam seems to be kind of grainy when taking pictures, but that could be the lighting in my house...it's not very good lighting.

I haven't taken advantage of buying Windows for Mac (I really don't want anything to do with PC's on my mac), and I don't have the Bluetooth hooked up either.

I also purchased the AppleCare protection for about $160 which is a great deal. I had a problem with an old mac and the protection plan covered EVERYTHING!

The last thing I have to say is the fact that Macs have always been so user friendly unlike PC's with their black screens and colored text. Not to mention you have to go through so many strings to find and name a document unlike Macs.

Keep up the good work Apple, you've got me for life and I've already converted several people from PC's to Macs and they have been forever thankful for it.
