I have always been impressed by Apple's unencumbered attention to the element of design in their products. The aesthic of the device, its software, and its interface are nearly as important as the function itself. The latest version of the iMac was finally enough for me to set aside a very long commitment to PC-based computing. I was not in the least disappointed. There are obviously some differences, but Apple makes it very easy to learn how to use it. I was a big a doubter as any, but it took me next to no time to be convinced. The three-button mouse / rollerball and sleek keyboard are so comfortable to use. The ability to multitask in different windows makes today's common computing so comfortable. I have come to prefer the Leopard OS and the way Microsoft Office products work on the iMac. I've had it nearly a year now, and it hasn't given a hint of malfunction.
