Apple iMac Desktop Computer Review

We bought our Apple iMac after shopping around and reviewing almost every computer out there.  Our old PC crashed beyond repair and we wanted a reliable, fast, easy-to-use computer.  At first we were hesitant about Apple ONLY because of the initial cost, but we were so unimpressed with Microsoft Vista and were uneasy about the virus problems.  We quickly decided it would be worth the extra money up front to have all the advantages that Apple provides.  We went with the 20" monitor for practical reasons but would have loved to splurge for the 24".  The 20" has proven to be more than enough for us, though.

The salespeople at the Apple store are truly professional and have complete confidence in their products.  We took advantage of their training seminars and have quickly transitioned to the new format.  We appreciate having the option of running windows, but so far we have found no need to do so.  We love the all-in-one product with no tower to worry about, and it just looks cool.

We have had two frustrations in these past 8 months of ownership.  One has been the mouse.  It is erratic and seems to have a mind of its own.  The second has been the lack of software programs that are Mac compatible.  We have found suitable alternates, but it's hard to find them.  Besides these small frustrations we totally recommend the Apple iMac and will never go back to a PC.
