Yes, I used to be anti-Apple. Yes, I used to not understand the big deal about Macs. Yes, I used to think Apple products were more fluff than regular PCs. Things change.
I got my iMac for my birthday in January 09 (thanks to my sweet and extravagant wife). Just when I was feeling pretty competent with Windows XP, I faced learning about operating my Apple iMac All-in-One 24" desktop computer and about using Mac OS 10.5.8.
Things worked differently on the Apple iMac All-n-One 24" desktop computer, but learning how to use the iMac was pretty easy. I quickly grew to love working on it.
The monitor is large, the display is sharp, the colors vivid.
The processor seems extremely fast.
Memory size is equal to the Library of Congress and the Library of Alexandria (ancient Alexandria, that is, as in 'Seven Wonders of the Ancient World'). Well, it's not that capacious, but at 300 GB (give or take a few MBs), it's way beyond enough.
Ease of use--great. Easy enough for a nearly 59-year-old to learn fairly quickly.
Comes with lots of programs, more than I need (or want, actually; I'd love to pare down the number of applications by eliminating ones I don't need/want, but I'm not sure what deleterious effects such removal would have on the programs I wanted to keep.).
Space-saving, space-gracing, just a great physical design.
I'm a convert, thanks to my Apple iMac.
