I have had the iBook G4 (IBM PowerPC based) for nearly four years now, and have not had more than a few complaints the entire time, even now when it should be giving up on me. I had heard great things about the ease of setup and use of the "new" Apples, but had not used one since back in the original days of IIEs and the original Macintosh. I was not disappointed when i got the new thing going after essentially zero setup time, and i still am not disappointed today. The only minor complaints i have had are that the keys take some serious abuse and start popping off/breaking after awhile, and that the rubber feet on the back come loose and tend to disappear. However, both of these concerns were remedied, for free, by my local Maclife store, which is just another continuation of the Apple experience. OK, one other gripe... lately Apple has started to force OS and hardware upgrades by making new items (such as Ipods) and software not backwards compatible... not a HUGE deal, but could be a fairly big annoyance after awhile.
