I got a late 2004 generation ibook G4. Not only have I needed to get the power adapter replaced twice, not only was my battery recalled for having been a fire hazard, but my logic board fried, due to no fault of my own, which tends to be a problem with ibook G4, that apple refuses to awknoledge or repair gratis.

Either get a PowerBook with an extra-long warranty, or skip Apple products entirely. You don't need them.
