Good cost to benefit ratio for a school.

Easy learning curve for PC addicts., iLife Suite comes with OS software.

Cons

Appleworks is cumbersome.

I use these in my lab at school for graphic design work. The students pick them up quickly and are successful in project production alsmost immediately. The iLife Suite is a terrific package that enables even the most computer phobic student to enjoy working on the "MAC" side.
