Love It! Love It! Love It!

By

from Hereford, AZ

Comments about Apple eMac desktop computer:

I used to use a PC exclusively but always thought back to the ease of computing I enjoyed in school when I had access to a Mac so I bought the eMac and have never looked back.   Although I still sometimes HAVE TO use a PC, I would NEVER prefer it over the Apple.   I love my eMac and do not ever intend to go back to PC or Windows.  EVER!!!!!!!

Sturdy computor

By

from Escondido, CA

Comments about Apple eMac desktop computer:

When I first took on learning how to use a computor I had no idea that there was a difference between Macintosh or Windows and I definetly did not know which one to buy. My ex-husband had always been a Macintosh user and he wanted me to use a Macintosh so badly that he bought me one. Who could say no to that. He bought me a EMac that he got a great deal on and insisted that it was a way better buy than Windows. Once again I could have cared less which computor I had because I had no idea which would be better. I know know why he insisted on me using a Macintosh. I have had several friends who have had Windows computors and they are always getting virises or breaking down. They are spending loads of money to fix or even replace their computors and I have had my computor for eight years and have never had any real problems with my computor. My computor was even struck by indirect lightening and survived. So one day when I decide to buy a newer computor it will definetly be a MAC!

the emac--long term investment

By

from Tampa, FL

Comments about Apple eMac desktop computer:

As I type this review, I sit back and look at the machine I am using. It has been a staple in my household for the past 8 years!! Unheard long term investment for a heavily used computer! My emac is easy to take care of, easy to use, and easy to keep updated. I am a busy teacher who uses my machine at home to create powerpoint and prezi presentations for struggling learners in my classroom. The emac affords me the capability to use graphic design components in an easy to use format. I might add that the emac was originally purchased to help my three children through high school! Now, I also use the computer to design training films and online courses for other teachers. My school district went to cheap HP computers several years ago. They gave me a laptop that after 6 days needed to be serviced. I use it now as a projection tool--it would never afford me the easy design capability of my emac!

If I have to use a DeskTop, I want it to be an eMac.

By

from Dallas, TX

Comments about Apple eMac desktop computer:

My cousin, a high school teacher, found my eMac for me online.

She knew that I was always running out of memory, and said that eMacs are geared for teachers, and that meant that it could handle all my surfing and saving...

It takes a LOT to crash a Mac. I thought that my previous MacBook was indestructable, but then I signed onto Twitter and Skype, and I tempted the fates until my little laptop finally blinked itself into oblivion...

That being said, even tho I'm online all the time, my durable eMac still clicks to life within seconds without a single fuss.

Using Safari, I twice received a black box with white writing in 7 languages saying to 'turn off the computer now.'  Neither the mouse nor the keys would budge the screen, so I had no choice and did just that. After the 3rd time, I shut down Safari and haven't been back...yet...

I now use Firefox, and am able to download all the toolbars I want...So far, so good...

Anyway, my eMac is proving to be a real workhorse, and I named her Delia, because it seemed to fit, and she's very good to me..!

My eMac and I have been friends for years!

By

from Lindale, TX

Comments about Apple eMac desktop computer:

I have had an eMac for over six years and it is an easy to use, friendly computer. Everything about using my eMac is uncomplicated and requires very little computer expertise. Even though my eMac is over six years old, I have not had to replace it for anything more up-to-date because I have always been able to upgrade my system, software, and anything else I needed.Mac is well known for it's internal security - viruses, worms, etc. rarely bother it. When you hear about a network or company being shut down by a virus, it is uncommon to hear the name Mac.The only thing I can say that is disappointing about my Mac is that occasionally I have run up against a "Windows only" situation in which a Mac cannot be used. That, however, is not the fault of my Mac. It is the fault of an ignorant programmer.

Nice For Basic or Starter Computer Users!

By

from Mission, TX

Comments about Apple eMac desktop computer:

Great for first time users on MACs, provides an easy learning experience to the operating software, although kind of slow its fast comparable to the start up time and standard operations of a PC for the same period. Kind of provides trouble by only accepting USB Keyboards and Mice instead of PS/2 Ports. The designs of mulitple colors provides for great personalization. As well as the different preloaded backgrounds. The preloaded software is also great comes with some great games, as well as basic Apple Software from Quicktime to MAC Messenger. The small, compact size of included the monitor and CPU within the same unit is a space saver compared to typical PCs that require space for the Display Monitor and CPU Tower. In addition to the saved space the compact size of one unit results in less cords and connections only one power cord to the unit and the two cords from the keyboard and mice. In addition, it provides a ethernet/networking port for possible internet connection.

amazing computer

By

from Tampa, FL

Comments about Apple eMac desktop computer:

the absolute best computer brand in the world is apple, no doubt about it. every product they make is amazing. and the big white emac is definitely one of those amazing products. ive never had a problem with it ever. it has a loooot of memory on it great for downloading just about anything i want. it is excellent for downloading and playing games, installing software, watching videos (in the cd/dvd drive or on the internet). right now i am only running osx 10.3.9, but even on this system the computer runs beautifully. i got this computer as an upgrade from my bondi blue imac (those really colorful ones) and i must say it is a great improvement. i can have every application open on this computer and everything still runs perectly. this is a great computer to have for every person's every need. (plus, since it is a mac, you do not have to worry about viruses or frequent computer crashes like on a pc)

I've always loved my Macs: they are very trustworthy.

By

from Lindale, TX

Comments about Apple eMac desktop computer:

I'm not a major techie, but I do know my way around a computer, both Mac and PCs.  This is my third Mac -- My first one was a B&W Mac Classic from about 15 years ago.  After that I got a color Mac, and now I have this eMac and have had it for several years. It has never let me down. Plus, unlike what I've experienced with the PCs I've used, my eMac is easy. Each step almost explains the next step.  To me, my emac is a Cadallac, the PCs I've used are Kias.

Good cost to benefit ratio for a school.

By

from Pottstown, PA

Comments about Apple eMac desktop computer:

I use these in my lab at school for graphic design work. The students pick them up quickly and are successful in project production alsmost immediately. The iLife Suite is a terrific package that enables even the most computer phobic student to enjoy working on the "MAC" side.
