I've had my G5 for years now and it still runs smoothly, giving me great capabilities.  Sure, it may be considered obsolete by today's technological standards, but the performance of this computer is great.  I do a lot of film editing and graphic work with it - two things it does very well.  I also love it for the fact that it can run older programs that I still like to use.  The memory capabilities with the computer are very good, though yes, even it can get pretty full and run slowly at times.  It even runs Windows without much trouble so I can have the benefits of both Macs and PCs on one computer.  As someone who likes to do film editing, I liked the version of iMovies that it comes with - far easier to use and more beneficial than the later versions.  However, being an older model now, the G5 can't run the latest Final Cut Pro version, so that has to be designated to my other computer.  However, I can't complain about being able to use my G5 to accomplish many of my tasks.  And it runs forever.  Unlike PCs, which I have known to wear out in a few years, the Mac just keeps going and going.
