Apple/Nike + iPod Sport Kit —

I love this gadget.  It is perfect for the casual runner who is not looking at investing  $200-$300 into a running watch.  At only $30 (If you own a nano) this is a great little gadget.  You can set your workouts, do goals on the website, and there is a little motivational person living inside your ipod who updates you on your progress as you run.  I have heard that the sensors do die, and there is no way to replace the battery.  However, online I have seen the sensor only sold for less than the original set-up.  I have had mine, and used it actively, for about 2 months with o problem.  I do not have Nike shoes, but have used it with brooks and Suaconys successfully.  You can get little cases for your laces, put it under the tongue of your shoe, or with my sauconys, they surprising have a little slit in the tongue where it fits perfectly.  My only down side is that it is not incredibly accurate with distance.  I have calibrated it, but it still seems to be a little generous with the mileage, but it's great for the self esteem!
