After 3 years with a g-4 powerbook, it was time to upgrade. I can't tell you how impressed I am with the improvements Apply has made on their laptops in the last few years. First of all, it was worth it to switch from the 12" to the 15". I wanted the 12 because I am on the road so frequently, I though it would make it easier on a plane. However, the current aspect ratio means that the screen is wider, not taller. This makes it easier to multitask! The new power cords are mag-safe, so you don't have to worry about tripping over it. I had definitely bent my last power cord, and it's nice to know i don't have to worry about that anymore. Also, the track pad is very sophisticated. You can set it so that you have two fingers on the pad and click, it is the equivalent to a right-click. Much easier than holding control as you used to. Similary, you can scroll up/down and left/right through a document using two fingers to steer, more like the new iphone. No more scrollbars for me!
