Apple MacBook Pro Review

We unfortunately switched to Dell computers a few years back. Everyone was soooo happy. They were so tired of the "tired, slow machines" and when we got the new ones - wow - so much better. DUH!!! The MAC's we had were ten years old, had little memory and were networked with a computer not a real server. I was sullen and thought, well if we had to have PC's at work, I'd better get a PC at home. BAD MISTAKE. Wow what a bad mistake. But we puttered along with that PC for several years, getting it serviced almost every six months, several hundred bucks each time. Finally, I'd had enough. That's it I screamed to my daughters. We're going back to the MAC. No, mommy, no, they cried. We won't know how to use it. You'll be fine I assured them. My significant other of the time dug up an old laptop of his and hooked it up for them. He put in a little network so they could use the printer and they sighed a breath of relief. They could use the familiar Windows and I could have my new beautiful I-Mac. That lasted about a week. I don't know who sat down at the pretty 24 inch screen first, but whoever it was called the other one over and together they discovered the wonder of MAC OSX. My MAC was now our MAC. I don't like sharing.

The school year was nearly over and my oldest was graduating. She needed to buy a laptop for college. I heard her on the phone. "Daddy I know they are more expensive - there is a reason for that - they are way better. Daddy, daddy, I am not buying a PC. No! I'm getting a MacBook. I have enough money and that is what I want to do - I'm sure Mommy will agree with me. My daughter was going to get a Mac laptop before me - not so fast. I went out and bought my Mac Book Pro that day. I have been in love ever since. Everything about it is spectacular. It's fast, it's beautiful, it's easy to add software to or get rid of software, it downloads at the speed of light. I can't say enough good things about this computer. My girls have fallen in love whit Photo Booth. I love Garage Band and Pages and Keynote - hell I love it all. I'm doing podcasts for my students to review class lectures - what an amazing tool - and so simple using Garage Band.

My daughter did get her MacBook a few months later and soon my other daughter will enter college for Photography - and she too will buy a Mac product - which one - we don't know yet. You can not go wrong with the Mac Book Pro - it simply works - every time - with every application.
