I have never used a better computer before. In my life, I've owned dozens and dozens of computers--Windows laptops and desktops, SGI workstations, Linux desktops and servers, Mac desktops and laptops--and I have never more happily used a computer before than the MacBook. The computer is absolutely everything that I'm looking for: it's fast, powerful, portable, light, runs *nix, durable, and inexpensive. While I'm a total Mac geek, the fact that this is a Mac doesn't even factor into the love I have for this machine. It's simply that the MacBook is the best bang for the book I've ever received in any machine, and I've ended up using it longer than any other computer I've owned thus far.
