Today I sound like a Mac commercial. I'm still working on a windows desktop, and will be for the forseeable future, but the macbook gets used more and more. If you haven't used a mac, or haven't used on in a while, it is everything the ads say, and more.
The computer is easy to use, elegant, and with the ability to run windows from the mac desktop, my macbook can do everything I need, both in the Mac world and the Windows world, without rebooting.
The only downside to the machine at all is the battery usage. If I get 2-3 hours of batter time, I'm doing good.
There is a wealth of software that just "comes with" your mac when you buy it, and a few packages that make it "complete". If Microsoft Office isn't critical to your business, OpenOffice works very well on the Mac, and it's free to download.
The macbook works well with all of the external devices I've tried with it, including syncing with my motorola phone, (strongly recommended for those with big contact lists) using isync. No additional drivers required.
It's a workhorse, but at the end of teh day, there's the potential for a lot of fun. From iTunes, iPhoto, and iEverything else that comes with it. If you're tired of windows, or Vista just doesn't work for you, and you have the money to buy one, this 20 year Microsoft user strongly recommends going with Mac and OS X.
