It is good for Mac users if you are familiar with it, not much changes. No additional real pros or cons. It's also good enough for Windows users, if you can get out partially of that mindset. Because sadly most Windows users are always set in stone.  Now i myself have always been a Windows kind of man.  But my profession offered me a new free apple laptop, and it was even mandatory.  The idea did not scare me, but since I was always so used to Windows, I was a little hesitant. The keyboard is horrible! Now, remember I am a strict windows guy. The keyboard is beautiful, slick and unique and fresh looking. BUT I really don't care if a keyboard is like that. I always hit the wrong buttons, and it actually suprisingly slows my workload down. Another thing that is kind of cool is the overalll complete look of the laptop. It's light, which most other computers always have deal with and it is kind of cool. i'm sure when i get used to it, I'll love it.  So bottom line: Pretty great, just get used to it.

Having previously owned a Dell laptop, upgrading to an Apple Macbook was incredible! This computer (on which I am currently typing!) runs like a dream--everything is so speedy! I also love that since it is a Mac, it is at little to no risk of getting things like viruses and spyware that ruin or signficantly slow down a PC.  It's super sleek and very attractive, and is not nearly as heavy as my old computer. It has excellent action on the keys--not too soft, not too hard to press, not sticky, etc. The system is very easy to understand and very user-friendly. Anyone can use a Mac!! The screen is large enough and the image is of very good quality. It is also very easy to raise or lower the backlight (the brightness of your screen) with keys right on the keyboard. Similarly, the Mac has convenient keys right on the keyboard for raising and lowering volume, as well! Once you Mac, you won't go back!!!

I absolutely love my Macbook! I could not decide between getting a Mac or a PC when I was buying a new laptop 1.5 years ago and I am so glad that I chose to go with a Mac!  I love the light up keyboard and the trackpad (which is so easy to use!)  I love the aluminum look to the computer as well.  The computer is lightweight, which makes it perfect to carry around with you (to bring to class or the library).  I love how user-friendly this computer is.  It just makes life so much easier. For example, if you want to save a picture off of the internet, you just drag and drop it into iPhoto.   The only downside to this model would have to be the battery life.  I only get about 3 hours when my computer is fully charged.  The newer (white version) MacBooks have a 7 hour battery life.  However, you could probably buy a new battery to solve this problem.   I have not had any repair/maintenance issues with my computer at all and would recommend a MacBook to anyone!!!

While Mac computers often carry a perception of higher costs, the Macbook is actually a great, economical laptop. It cannot be said enough how easy these laptops are to use, particularly in comparison to other platforms, but along with this ease of use also comes ease of maintenance. Antivirus software can be useful on the Macbook if you are operating on a network with other PCs, but the recurring costs and time needed to update the software is not needed on this laptop. Moreover, it took me literally ten minutes out of the box to have a new user setup and the laptop ready for use. It has taken me multiple hours on other platforms to get navigate through all the add-ons and security allowances to get the PC useable. The service that Apple offers for these laptops has also been exceptional in my experience. The company really stands behind its products and ensures that customers are satisfied, even when things do go wrong.
