One of the best laptops I've ever had

5

Apple products are known to be of a very high quality. Apple macbook is not an exception. My favorite this about this laptop is its keyboard. It is very functional, and it sounds good when typing. It is also easy to clean. My next favorite thing is the mousepad. It is very flexible and I love using it. You can also use it for scrolling up, down, vertically and horizontally. I also love that you don't need to have an antivirus for a mac. I found out that people don't make viruses for macs. The best thing about this computer is that it is very fast. Unlike a PC you don't have to wait forever for it to shut down to start up. It takes seconds. I love that. The only two things that I don't like about this laptop are: 1.) the Finder and 2.) Low battery life. As to the Finder, that your directory to everything. It is quite unusual if you are used to a PC. As to the low battery life, it is quite bad. I have to plug it it every two hours. That's disappointing.

I travel allot for work and my Laptop is my life. When my old Toshiba laptop was stolen, I made the jump to a 13 inch black Macbook. I took this computer to 30 different countries over the course of its life, upgraded the Hard Drive, and reformatted it countless times and it always bounced back for more abuse. The computer itself is very user friendly and to be honest I will never go back now that I have owned it. I never got a single virus and my ability to connect to hotspots were never difficult like they were when I used window's based laptops. Although you cannot play any graphics intensive games, I was able to use Microsoft Office and check email, which is most important for someone always on the road. The built in iSight webcam comes in very handy when I want to Skype my wife and its small size is perfect for traveling. It took awhile to get used to the square power inverter, but it is still smaller in size than the bricks that come with most laptops. All in all its a good laptop and worth the money.

Will always buy Apple Macbooks from now on!

My husband and I have had a 13.1 inch Apple Mac Note Book for almost  five years now. We could not be happier with this computer. We will most likely never buy another PC after this. The only reason I gave it four stars was because the hard drive did crash one time, but as long as you have all of your stuff backed up, that is not even that huge of a deal. Most people think these are so expensive. What we have come to find is that although they cost a bit more than a PC laptop, over the long run they save you money. You do not have to pay for an annual virus protection plan. And, they last so much longer. It is still in great shape and we have no plans to get anything different for awhile. We also have a Dell PC laptop, and after only a year, it is already showing signs of wearing down and not working as well as when we first got it. The keyboard is comgfortable and easy to us. And, Apple is always a pleasure to work with.

The MacBook is a great product!

I got the MacBook back in 2007 and it was at it's a very advanced notebook. I works extremely fast and performs all tasks it should. There were many problems though. First, the operating system had some serious glitches such as not shutting down properly. Fortunately, Apple fixed this quickly. Second, the hardware was falling apart. One of the internal fans stopped working in mid 2008 and Apple fixed it for free. The computer worked fine until late 2010 when the keyboard and trackpad stopped working completely. Apple quickly got to it and replaced the topcase. The old topcase was weak. Bits of plastic would chip off the topcase. The newer topcase doesn't do this though. I like that the computer could be upgraded to four gigabytes of RAM. Despite these problems, the MacBook is overall a great machine. It still runs to this day and Apple has fixed some problems for free, even when the computer was out of warranty.

I LOVE MY MACBOOK!!!!!

5

I can honestly say I was very nervous making the switch from PC to a MAC. I been a PC user for over 15 years and I had never used an Apple. Well I've had my new Macbook for over 2 weeks now and I LOVE IT!!!! I will probably NEVER use a PC again. I love the look of the Macbook. The resolution is great and overall it is VERY easy to use. I am so happy with my purchase.

As a PC fanboy, the Macbook is actually decent

Coming from a "PC Guy", I have to admit, the Macbook is a very durable and long lasting laptop. I have owned mine for close to 4 years now. As others have stated, the area of the laptop where your hands rest does turn disgustingly black after some time as well as all the keys. After doing a quick google search, it turns out the easiest and best solution to this is to take a Mr. Clean magic eraser to it. I actually ran boot camp on it so it runs Windows XP. The process was idiot-proof and it has been running like a champ since the day I received it. One thing I did notice was that there is an indentation on my screen where the keyboard made contact with it while it was closed. Maybe it was my fault, but there should be enough clearance or support from the hinges to prevent contact between the keyboard and screen even with force applied to it. I even notice that if I press on the lid of the Macbook while it's on, the screen ripples where I'm pressing.
