I've had the original Apple 8G iPhone for a year and a half. An unfortunate soda incident meant that it didn't really work as a phone any longer, so I needed a new phone. Enter the Apple 3G S 16G iPhone.
When I first received the new 3G S model, I was a bit disappointed because there really wasn't a huge difference between it and my original 8G iPhone with the new 3.0 software update. In fact, I still am somewhat underwhelmed. Yes, the 3G S is faster than the first iPhone, but aside from that, the camera's video capability, and the future capacity to send and receive pictures in text messages,...
read full review »I've been drooling over the iPhone 3Gs since it came out this summer. In fact, I've been drooling over all the iPhone models since they were released. Until now, I've been stuck with a Sony Erickson Walkman phone which pales in comparison to the iPhone or other smartphones. Since I use the Internet all the time and like to check my emails hourly, the iPhone has always seemed ideal. So when my Sony Erickson phone broke for the third time, I decided it was time to consider an upgrade. Enter the iPhone 3GS.
Here's what I was looking for in my new phone:
I don't know why it took me so long to see the light and convert to using Apple products, but once I did (8 years ago) there was no turning back. First, it was an iMac, then I bought an iPod, and now I have an iPhone.
When it comes to the phone, I was an early adopter. I had been following the rumors for months and was really anticipating this revolutionary new phone to enter the markets. Once it did, I wanted to sleep with it! I had very few issues with the phone (pretty good for a first generation product) and kept it for two years until the release of the iPhone 3GS. I preordered it and sure...

I've been using another at & t 3g phone for the last two years and had been hesitant to go to the apple iphone. Now that I have it would honestly be hard to switch back. For the most part, each function / operation is simple to get the hang of. It did not take long to catch on to the differences between the apple iphone and my previous smartphone. Operations also seem very quick.
The three megapixal camera is much better than the two megapixel on my old phone. In addition, the video camera feature...

I received the 3G S Apple iPhone as a gift and I have found it to be the best cell phone I have ever used. Maybe the reason is because it's more like having a miniature personal computer than a cell phone, but I have really fallen in love with this flashy new iPhone. Its construction is the same as iPhone models that have come before it, but the improvements have made it one of those must have products when it comes to cell phone technology. Now I can't really think of the time where I could survive with a phone that couldn't perform as well as this one, and there is no turning back for...
read full review »I was one of the lucky users of the original Apple iPhone. This meant I got in on the ground floor. Not only did I pay $600 originally (and have many people laugh at me), but I've sat witness to all of its changes. What started out to be a really expensive phone is turning into what I originally envisioned, a really small mobile computing center. My original two year contract was up, and I just couldn't help myself but buy the new and improved Apple iPhone 3GS to get in on the additional speed and features.
Don't get me wrong; I could have gone along using my old iPhone for quite some time and...
Three years after the first rumors of an Apple cell phone began to make the rounds, the iPhone continues to garner huge buzz, long lines, and a growing share of the cell phone market. And as we approach the second anniversary of the first model's frenzied launch day, Apple drops the newest model in our laps. The iPhone 3GS, which will hit stores June 19, promises faster processing and network speeds, extended battery life, more memory, and additional features. It's enough to get our attention, but not enough to get us completely excited.
In many ways,...

read full review »The new iPhone, is a wonderful and very useful tool. With the speed of the 3GS, I can download twice as fast, as well as, access the internet even faster. I have a Mac, I can synce, automatically using iTunes, email, music, games, and movie trailers. Text message is the in thing, I trust iPhone's auto - correction, while switching to number and symbol keyboard. Viewing photos is a snap, use the send button to email a photo to a friend or family member, use it as wallpaper, or assign a photo to your contact information. Browsing music is easy, tap an album cover to see all the tracks,...

As with hundreds of other cell phones, Voice Control lets you make calls by speaking the contact's name or phone number into the receiver. After you say your command, you'll get audio confirmation and the name or number will show on the display. If the iPhone makes a mistake, you can press an "undo" touch control at the bottom of the screen. The feature is speaker-independent, so you won't need to train it to recognize your voice; you'll be ready to go the first time you turn on the phone.
In our tests, the voice dialing performed well. When using names, it understood us accurately most of the...

When other people wanted to see my phone, People were shocked that I had Itunes on my phone. I grew to feel the Itunes, until, my phone began breaking down. My contract had ended a year before so I was up for an upgrade. The Phone I got was the Iphone 3G. Now this was a beauty. I was so happy with it, until, the 3GS came out. I Then got that.

read full review »My iPhone 3gs is everything I could have ever asked for, but service from At&t is disappointing. I am a former Verizon user, and though I always grimaced at their selection of phones, I have to admit their service was stellar in comparison. But enough about At&t - this phone comes in handy for me every day. It's great to be logged into AIM, while checking my email, while listening to music. One thing missing is multitasking, which the Pre does have - but I don't really find myself wishing I had it as much as I thought I would. Hopefully later this summer At&t will come around with tethering and...

read full review »Recently, I waited until my old phone died to buy the new iphone 3GS but I should have never waited that long. This phone is literally the best invention since the television. Literally, I see no need for a computer, television or home phone after this invention. Plus, it has a camcorder and camera as well so another added benefit.
I love the fact that you are able to select specific contacts as your favorites from all of your contacts as those are the people you most likely will call the most. Also, I enjoy the feature of having contact home/business addresses, birth dates and email addresses...
