Apple - iPhone 3GS Cell Phone Review

My iPhone 3gs is everything I could have ever asked for, but service from At&t is disappointing. I am a former Verizon user, and though I always grimaced at their selection of phones, I have to admit their service was stellar in comparison. But enough about At&t - this phone comes in handy for me every day. It's great to be logged into AIM, while checking my email, while listening to music. One thing missing is multitasking, which the Pre does have - but I don't really find myself wishing I had it as much as I thought I would. Hopefully later this summer At&t will come around with tethering and MMS, too - really unbelievable that we are lacking these features.

New video camera is great to have on hand for those moments you always wish you had a camera, and then realize - you do! Video editing is easy and direct upload to YouTube a breeze. Really fun to be able to share things with my friends and family around the world.

Compass is helpful, too. I didn't think I would use it much but I found myself using it about 10x in the last month. Google just added subway routes, which makes traveling in the city even easier than before.

All in all, if you have to have a smartphone now, I would take the iPhone over the Blackberry or Pre. If you think you can wait another year, I would go ahead and see if the iPhone is released on new carriers next year. Unfortunately this phone drops too many calls for me to recommend the service.
