Apple started an electronics revolution with it now iconic iPod classic MP3 Player. The adulation for IPod is almost universal and our community of audiophiles has nothing but high praise the little white box with one stating: "High quality, easy to use, and convenient to travel with. Also has so much storage that I don't think I am ever going to fill it up." I've always bought the less mainstream mp3 players - this is my very first ipod. I have to say, it's not the best player in terms of features, but it does have some things that make it uniquely better (I think) than others I have owned. — — If I want to watch a tv show or look at (and zoom into) pictures I will most likely use my Creative Zen Vision. The screen is much bigger, but that also makes it bulkier. However, it also has a radio and voice recorder built-in. I'm sorry, but I don't want to have to buy a ton of little attachments for my mp3 player - If I'm going to do…

music lover, technically challenged, looking for value
I absolutly love this Ipod that my husband just got me. I am not computer savy and I could very easily get this IPOD to work. It is very conventient to use with it being so small and I also bought the sleeve that you can velcro to your arm and walk or exercise with it which makes my workouts so much more entertaining. Would definitely recommend this to a anyone. High quality, easy to use, and convenient to travel with. Also has so much storage that I don't think I am ever going to fill it up with all of the songs…

a music lover, always listening to music, impressed with this product
I had an iPod photo for about 2 years before it finally broke down for good (I had two replacements), so I had to get a new one. Right away, I found this iPod to be much better and could see the difference in product maturity, though it does seem like it took a while to get there: — — 1) I have not had one crash over the last 3 months, which I couldn't say about the Photo. With the Photo I must have had to do a hard reset every week and a format every few months; — 2) It's really thin and light for an 80 GB player, and it looks really sleek. …

I was so excited to get this iPod home and use it. I love the way it looks. Very stylish and sleek. The screen is fantastic! I uploaded all of my pictures onto the iPod and I don't think I could be any more pleased with the quality of the resolution. I found it fairly easy to download the software from iTunes. The product does not come with a manual. Just a quick reference/start quide. Not much help. However, not much assistance was needed. When transfering music from my music sharing software, you transfer to your iTunes and then to…

I'm a proud owner of the Apple I-Pod classic. I love this product because I am able to travel with it everywhere. What I mean is, the last trip I took was driving to California and usually it's a boring drive. Having my I-Pod with me I was able to listen to the music I love. Now, the fun doesn't end there but I was also able to watch some of my favorite movies, tv shows and play games on my I-Pod. — And most in importantly, I'm able to store all my contacts information and personal photo album unto my I-Pod. It's a…

I've come from the land of LPs, 45's, 8-tracks, cassettes and CDs. I have travelled long and my ears have heard many great things along the way... BUT the iPod is the greatest by far! I made a decision to buy the iPod Classic and was glad I did. I downloaded my entire CD collection into my laptop and had a yard sale to sell all 200 of them. I made enough money to buy two iPods, one for me and one for my daughter. We both filled our iPods up with my music collection and now she loves my music ad so does all of her friends. If you are still holding on to your old…

I bought this Apple 80 gig iPod for my 15 year old son who is an avid music listener and quite the electronic master because he always makes it look so easy. He wanted this particular player to be able to listen to his music as he rocks out on his guitar. Music makes him happy and the features on this iPod make finding the song easy and it has tons of storage. He tells me that this thing is great and is so happy with all of the additional features the player has he did not no about. I feel that for the money, Apple should of put a AM/FM tuner in it though but he doesn't seem that's necessary.…

I bought this iPod Classic for my Husband, he is a total Music freak and needs a lot of room for his music. He's also technically challenged and hates computers. But now, he knows how to do more things on the iPod than I do (I have a Nano) and every deployment, this is the ONE must have for him! The first iPod Classic was actually stolen, and we bought some other MP3 player and we ended up wasting our money. He ditched the MP3 player and forked out the money again for this one (and that is NOT like my…

I have an ipod and i love it. If music is your thing and you need a trendy player than this device is great for ya. unfortunately i have the large version of the 80 GB but it does hold all of my songs, videos and movies. plus the games are great for when your board or your waiting. also if you get one my advice is to buy a case for it asap because the screen scratches easily. plus if you have the right radio you can hook up your ipod and listen to your songs in the car. also with that there are no…

Bought the iPod classic because I couldn't find the 4th generation anywhere on eBay. Honestly, the iPod classic was somewhat less expensive than I expected - although definately still pricey. — — I really have no complaints with this unit, besides the expensive price. It has an extreme amount of space for music (an important thing for me), has beautiful graphics, fantastic battery life, and good sound quality. Occaisionally the touch-wheel can be a little touchy...but really, a wonderful buy. —…

I would have rated the iPod Classic 80G a 4.5, but system does not allow for fractions. The only real problem I have is that is sometimes, for no reason I can discern, records the list of tunes on an album backwards or in some other incorrect order. I also wish it had a way of communicating more information about each song, show, or podcast while listening or…

This iPod has so much storage. I don't think I'll ever fill it. It's great for long road trips, airplane flights, or even walking the dog. On my last long flight, it kept me company with games, movies, music and more. What more could I ask? I would encourage everlyone to purchase one. If an old person like me can use it, ANYONE…
