I replaced my 30 gb Ipod classic with this new Ipod touch II 32 gb....
I am a little disappointed in the the unit way it sets up the songs and it does get some time to get used to the differant format...The map feature only works if you can get a wifi .It does take some time for it to snyc not as fast as my old classic. If you are going to just be a basic music/audio book listener I would recomend to stay with the classic style of Ipods. All of the touch features are neat but not worth the extra cash. If you have download your own music from cd and not from itunes purchase the music library doesn't show the album cover which is a one of the ways of finding your music. The wifi features run very slow and I don't play games on it and so email takes a long time to. I am in a area that there is not alot of wifi single it take awhile to connect to one. The worst thing is the amount of battery life. I only get maybe 5 hours of listening time before I need to recharge battery...this is normal I checked with Apple.
I like the external speaker it isn't loud but if you are sitting at your desk it is fine. The slim design is great. Photos look great on this unit and to be able to zoom and move with the touch of a finger is amazing. The calander and calculator are nice and large easy to use and see.
I listen to my Ipod every night at work so it really gets a work out. I listen to audiobooks most every night I work for eight hours a night. I have had this unit about six weeks to I feel I have found most of the pros and cons of this unit. But I am still learning about it.
