The 15 inch macbook pro is the perfect on the go computer. It has all the capabilities you have come to expect from apple computers with the convenience of being portable. The size of the computer is ideal because the 15 inch screen is big enough to enjoy watching movies or tv shows, but not so big that it is inconvenient to carry around when traveling throughout the day.  The size would also be good for editing if you have interests in graphic design.  For projects that require a bigger screen, the computer is easily connected to a display (also available from apple).  This computer comes with great programs that enable you to both enjoy yourself with convenient internet browsing and be productive when need be. If you are used to microsoft office products, mac compatible software is available for purchase. Enjoy everything you have come to expect from a laptop with greater protection against viruses than you would find on a PC!

I have owned several Mac Powerbooks, going way back several years starting with the Power-book 1400C. With the switch to Intel processors the Mac laptops, now called "Macbook Pro", really shot forward to usefulness and power. This had been my second "Macbook Pro" and it has served me very well, in a sense it still seems to be the ultimate Mac laptop with a full complement of ports, fast CPU and GPU plus a long lasting battery. The biggest drawbacks to the system are, first is the keyboard that will leave makes on the screen when transported closed so a keyboard or screen cover is essential and secondly that the aluminium case tends to get damaged easily so a outer plastic shell is very helpful. I found this system to be very powerful for high-end 2d and 3d graphics editing, and often it was much more stable and useful when running in OSX then a windows XP based workstation. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a portable and powerful graphic creation system.

I got my MacBook Pro when I first went off to college four years ago and I have never had any problems with it. I had never been a mac user before but I got used to it quickly and I will never use a PC ever again. My friends with PCs have all dealt with security issues, viruses, and general slowness but my computer has held strong. I have completed hundreds of papers, uploaded thousands of pictures, created many keynote presentations, and used it daily and I love it. It is easy and fast. There are so many helpful features and applications on my MacBook Pro that make life as a student so much easier. There is never any hassle with missing documents or slowness.  The only complaints I have are that once my battery dies and I hook it back up to the charger it takes a long time to start up again which can be inconvenient. I also was a little rough on my charger and had to replace that after about three years.

I love my macbook but can't say I'm to happy with the case.  In less than a year there were cracks in the case and the hinge on the screen part lost tension.  I do not travel with this and I'm an adult who doesn't abuse it but this is still what happened.  I returned it to Apple and all was repaired but in less than 6 months the case is cracking again!  Come on Apple.  Such a great computer, you'd think you could make a better case!
