A limited-flavor beer for a limited audience

2 star rating

glad I'm not allergic to gluten
Pros

    gluten-free

Cons
    wheat and barley free

MAY
24
2007

Consumer Note:  This beer is brewed from sorghum --a cereal grass-- for those with Celiac's Disease (allergic to gluten)

* Brilliant amber-gold.  Tall beige head collapses quickly

* Light, sweet aroma

* Lightly sweet palate has mild tangy edge

* Demi-sec finish is rather bland

* Light bodied; thin and watery

Synhopsis:

Since this was the first time I ever tasted a sorghum-based beer, I didn't know what to expect.  Now I know not to expect much, but if I was allergic to gluten, I'd be grateful to Anheuser-Busch for their efforts.

I didn't know this existed. My father-in-law has to eat gluten free. I'll pass this on to him and see what he thinks.
