After reading The Da Vinci Code, I was thrilled to learn that there was a "prequel" - Angels and Demons. The lead character was just as compelling in this book, and it was a bit easier to follow the twists and turns. What made this an even more compelling read for me was that I was reading it at the same time of the death of Pope John Paul II. So the book, which gives an insider's view of the goings-on at the Vatican after the death of the pope (albiet, with a good does of mystery added) made me feel a part of the real-life proceedings. A great story that is even better than…

This book is based on real secret societies and knowledge, namely The Illuminati. I had a fair knowledge of what they were all about, but you pretty much get a better sense of how interconnected with society they are. Story is as follows: Robert Langdon is given some information in regards to a very progressive, dead physicist. He is whisked away to Switzerland, where he uncovers a plot . Dan Brown then, suddenly, drops the floor from you, and the entire scope of what you had just read for about 50 or so pages comes into the light at once. With this information, Robert, along with Vittoria,…

This book is full of twists, which I absolutely love. However, what I enjoy most about this book is that it's a fiction novel based on facts. Despite this may seem to be an oxymoron, Angels and Demons is factual ficiton. I even researched Brown's claims in this book -- and they were all true. I love fiction novels, but I especially love them when they're done in this manner. I only wish there were more authors out there like Dan Brown. — And if there are, please let me know! —…

When I first recieved this book from my boyfriend I was intimidated by its size. I have never gotten through a book this large in so little time. It's the kind of book that compells you to keep reading, you have to find out what's going to happen next. It was a wonderfully entertaining book, made even more intrigiung by the accurate historical information. — My only warning is that this book will infiltrate your dreams if you are a bedtime reader like myself. — — …

Every day computer user, always online
I had trouble getting sleep! I was hooked from the first chapter. — This book connects with Dan Brown's other read, "The DaVinci Code". If you like one, you will like the other. — This book makes you question how much of religious history has been hidden. I understand that this is supposed to be a fiction novel, but the vivid detail and research that went into writing this book makes me question if much of it isn't true. Upside niggaz own dis…

a fiction reader, an avid reader, a sci-fi buff
This story line just grabs you from the word "Go." Dan Brown has found a niche that could go on for a long time. The characters are incredible and believable from start to finish. The story line is phenomenal and extremely captivating. Given all the goings on in this world today, this storyline is so intriguing and very easy to imagine happening. I can't wait for the movie. Just hope it sticks to the storyline like Da Vinci Code…

fiction reader, a fan of clever plots, interested in cultural experiences, into trying new things, love to travel
A catastrophic bomb has been stolen and hidden in the Vatican! It's up to Robert Langdon to find it before it explodes by doing what he does best, solving more riddles. This book comes before the DaVinci Code. So you will like this if you like the DaVinci Code. I like Angels more than DaVinci because it has more action and finding a bomb that will destroy the Vatican and parts of Italy seems more pertinent than protecting the lineage of…

re-reading the classics
this book is a modern classic. There is no a person who at least didn't hear of it! Even though it became popular after a release of it's brother-bestseller "The Da Vinci code" I think it is better than the last one! I love Dan Brown's book because you read them not to just spent some time but to learn something new and…
