You may not yet have heard of Andrea Rose. She is out of Chicago, Illinois and has a  line of above-average makeup and skincare products. Andrea Rose started her own company to help women who need cosmetics without plant ingredients. There is a medication taken by many which is blocked and rendered ineffective if you use makeup and skin products (all topical skin products, in fact, anything that you apply to your skin) which contain plant ingredients. Imagine. But just like they've discovered that homeopathic medications are blocked by using mint, the same principle applies to this particuler medication with all plants. With this current craze to add plant extracts and oils to everything going, you can see how what a problem this presents. (How I wish the trend would pass and they would STOP adding plant ingredients to everything on the planet!) Andrea Rose to the rescue! She has come up with a full line of products that are of high quality, soothe and moisturize the skin and do not contain any plant products. Just for your information, people, there is NO PROOF that any of those plant products work. It is just a marketing gimmick and you are paying dearly for it. I have used many of Andrea Rose's products and like all of them. This review concerns her Personal Basics Lip Pencil. The shade I purchased is called "Semi Red." Like many women, I am very fussy about lip pencils, it's hard to find one that goes on well and does not make you look like Joan Crawford, no matter how light your touch. Andrea Rose's shade is a dream and the color is subtle. I suppose you could apply it more thickly if you like the dramatic look. It stays on the lips a long while and I've been very pleased with it.
