Anderson University Review Summary

Anderson, South Carolina is home to Anderson University, a small, private, liberal arts university with a religious affiliation. Reviewers point out a few positive and a few negative points with Anderson University, and on the positive side, they like the friendly and very well- informed faculty as well as the personal educational experience. Anderson University offers an “Outstanding Christian Oriented Campus” according to one person. But others do not share this enthusiasm, like one reviewer who says “I Don’t Recommend This Place Unless You Have a Full Ride Here”. The problems with Anderson University include its admissions and financial aid departments, which many consider inefficient, as well as the outdated appearance of Anderson University as a whole, even though they are slowly working toward change. So, when all is said and done, Anderson University ranks as an average College/University with almost an equal share of pros and cons.

This school has a beautiful appearance but is slightly out-dated. The new Thrift Library and some new dorms are a step in the right direction. The faculty and staff are amazing people and they all promote a friendly campus enviroment. There is also an evening program which is tailored around a working... read full review »

Anderson University has issues. Yeh, they have a few good programs - art, music, education - but the goodness ends there. Nearly every department has confusion exploding from it. Worst of all are admissions and financial aid! My husband has had such problems with this school as to stop going there, as... read full review »

My experience here at Anderson University has been an overall good experience. Anderson University is great for adults that need to go to school and work at the same time. The class schedules are so flexible that you can attend classes before or after your normal work hours. They even have an Accel program that allows you to complete a 4 year degree in 2 years. They even offer free baby sitting services. There is plenty of opportunity for a student to receive financial aid. Anderson University receives a lot of scholarship money from local community donators.  It is a christian school that leaves...
