We stayed at the Anchorage Inn, Charleston, SC for the first time recently after 29 years of trips to that city. We were very pleased with everything about the Inn, from the location (just steps from Waterfront Park and the Historic Market, and within easy walking distance to the historic district, restaurants, museums, shopping on King Street, and the aquarium), to the amenities (whirlpool tub, excellent continental breakfast, turn down service with chocolate candy, among other things),to the staff, and even the quaint feel of the Inn. Stepping in the front door was like stepping back in… read full review »

This inn was in the perfect location for just about anything that a guest would like to do in Charleston. You can park your car in the parking garage adjacent to the inn, and leave it for the lenght of your stay. A short walk or trolley ride will get you to the greatest dining and attractions that Charleston has to offer. Our room was quaint, clean, functional, and included all the amenities expected. The afternoon wine and cheese served in the library, nightly turn down with chocolates, and evening sherry were nice unexpected extras! We will recommend this wonderful find to our… read full review »

The nicest things about the Anchorage Inn were it's friendly staff, great location, and sessions in the library every afternoon and evening wherw every guest has a chance to meet and converse with others while wine and cheese is served in the afternoon and sherry in the evenings.Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, Everything from historic attractions, restaurants, and the Charleston Markets is within easy walking distance.
