Ameriwood BED, BATH & BEYOND 2 SHELF STORAGE Review

i actually bought this product, BED, BATH & BEYOND 2 SHELF STORAGE made by Ameriwood  at BigLots. It was $20 regular price there.  I have put together lots of systems over the years:  TV carts, Microwave carts, Bookshelves etc.  This was the smallest, but the worst to put together.  (model number is #7505300)

Three of the plastic compression dowell fasteners broke in half during installation. Half stayed in the hole and I could not get it out to replace them. The rest bent and would not hold the pieces steady during installation.  Picture only instructions were not clear.

I had an extremely hard time reaching cam lock between the shelves to lock it in place.  There is not enough room to get your hand in with a screwdriver, and I have small hands.  and if you do get your hand inside you cannot see the can lock.  The shelf was not in the middle of the unit as pictured.  It was close to the top.  Had the shelf been in the middle of the unit there would have been much more room to install it properly. 

The front rail had no predrilled holes and cracked when I screwed it on.  The bottom rail would not fit the unit, leaving large gaps.  The back panel was just a flimsey folded piece of covered cardboard. 

I spent over 4 hours trying to put 7 wood pieces together and now I cannot even use it.

Big waste of money.  I am in process of contacting them now.
