I hear about American Girl from a friend who directed me to the website. I fell in love with the new Barbie doll and unfortunately wasn't able to order one. I wasn't " Berry" status and it sold out before I was even able to make a purchase. When I tried to add the doll and a jacket to my cart, only the jacket added. Not realizing I placed an order. My email revealed only the jacket was ordered. I immediately emailed to cancel. This email has yet to be responded. I emailed again, and the second email has yet to be responded. Poor customer service and for a new customer just learning about American girl I'm disappointed. I would never recommend and I haven't even seen a doll. A last minute end of the year sale, only for the "Berry" members of was unfair to anyone new. My daughter is 3 and loves dolls. I thought this was a great idea for her .

We love American Girl! My daughter has recently become obsessed with the American Girl dolls and accessories. Since there is not an American Girl store in our town, I rely on the website, AmericanGirl.com to make all of my purchases. Searching the site is easy and fun. The site has items to purchase and also there are spots for kids to play american girl games. My daughter and I both like looking at the website together to see what new things there are and to read more about the dolls. The website has a great sale section too, that I usually check out first thing before making other purchases. If an item is out of stock or is backordered, the website clearly has that tinformation marked. I have only had wonderful experiences using the website from American Girl. I would definetely recommend it.

My daughter decided she wanted an American Girl doll for her big present on her birthday. We ordered at the very last minute and I never would have thought it would come on time for her birthday. We worked it out so it came on the night of her birthday. We got to tell them what we wanted written on a card for her and we let her open the box when it was delivered. We paid the extra fee to have the dolls ears pierced and got her a package of earrings to go with her new doll. She picked out Grace Thomas and absolutely loved it. She came with a shirt, skirt, shoes, and two bracelets, one for the doll and one for the birthday girl! The doll is very cute and is made from good materials. We also paid for a doll hair brush to go with the doll which is recommended. The brush is a wig brush made for the same type hair as the doll. One very awesome thing about this company is that if the doll becomes ruined or the hair a mess, you can send it back and they will fix it like new for a fee! That's great to do rather then to buy another doll. My daughter has done and redone the dolls hair and I've never seen any fall out or become damaged. I opted to not buy extra doll clothes because they are crazy expensive. The clothes on tjr doll are still intact and look like new. I was very happy with the products and I was also happy with the customer service I received. The two ladies I spoke with were so nice and didn't try to make me buy anything else. I liked that she told me about the brush but didn't pressure me at all. The doll also comes with a book that is about whatever doll you pick. They are expensive but they are the doll to have for little girls. They are made from quality materials and will last unlike 20$ dolls you can get in store. The doll hospital option is great and the dolls are worth paying the fee to fix if they become damaged. I would buy another one if my younger daughter asks for one because they really are worth the cost to see your daughter happy! Great company.

OK so i am the first to say american girl is a top notch expensive brand. However this truly is a brand where quality is everything, you get what you pay for... From the dolls to the clothes This company really does create an experience when you invest in there products. Also for all my money saving mama's out there the website does have a "sale" section its always worth a look!! And if you are near a store check them out! i am 31 but got just as excited at my 5 year old daughter lol

Product Pricing The single downside to American Girl products, on or offline, is the pricing. The prices are not competitive, but their products are worth the price. In terms of quality, there are others with similar quality, but the simple fact that these dolls have stories to go with them makes them extra special and well worth the extra dollars. However, if you just looking for any doll, go with another brand. These dolls are only worth their price for girls who have already become familiar with their stories. These dolls have names, backgrounds, histories, families. That is what makes them unique. The same goes for the books and clothes. You can find items of similar quality in cheaper brands, and for the books that are not directly linked to the American Girl dolls, I recommend getting cheaper brands. I often browse americangirl.com for ideas for craft books and then buy something cheaper with the same basic idea. Some of the clothes are no different from things you get at any department store, but there are also ones with pictures of American Girl dolls or mascots, which are certainly special to someone familiar with their magazine. Customer Service I live in Brazil. The last year that I was signed up for the American Girl Magazine, only three of the six issues arrived at my house. The first time, I just figured it was late. That happens a lot here. But then the next issue never came either. So I got online and contacted costumer service. Even though it was not their fault, they offered to either replace those two issues or add two more issues to my subscription to make up for it. I got one of those replacement issues, but eventually gave up on receiving American Girl overseas simply because magazines are not priority mail here (regardless of postage) and things coming from the United States are likely to be stolen by postal workers here. I did however receive some compensation for those the next time I was in the U.S.

In the past, I have shopped at the americangirl.com website to purchase books, dolls, and doll clothing for some of my younger relatives. The site is so convenient to make purchases, since the closest American Girl store is about 2 hours away from me. When you get to the website, you can select if you want to shop for dolls, books, clothing, etc. This makes it really easy to navigate to the exact part of the website that you are interested in making a purchase from. As well as allowing you to shop from the site, there is a section that has free online games. This will keep young children entertained as they learn more about some of the American Girls. When you pick the item you want to purchase, there is a detailed description of what you are purchasing as well as reviews and ratings from other people who purchased the same items. The checkout process was really easy, and the items arrived to my house pretty quickly. There was no damage to any of the items I purchased, and they arrived exactly like I thought they would.

American girl.com has many things that my daughter loves to do! There are the games and they are always updated on what the next doll of the year will be and I can find all my daughters favorite American girl items on this website. It is easy to get through and also girl friendly for my daughter who likes to play the games. American girl has something for every girl out there from dolls to books and games they can play online. I love this website because I know it is a secure web site for my two daughters to play on and explore for all their doll dreams and I don't have to worry. I am a little old fashioned and so this web site is wonderful because it gives quality games and offers a wide variety of excellent doll items I can buy for my girls to keep them and their American girl dolls Felicity, Kit and molly happy too! Of course American Girl dolls are all the rage for little girls. Unfortunately they come at a ridiculously high price. And the dolls aren't even made in America. ugh. But, moving on. My daughter really likes the dolls, and of course around here it seems all the birthday parties are themed around bringing your doll to them. And the horror if you don't have one or even worse you have a knock off. So I had been watching for a decent deal on them, and pretty much they never go on sale. I checked Ebay but people want as much for the used ones as they do they new ones. We don't have an American Girl store around here, so I was going to be forced to order one online. Fortunately, I saw on Good Morning America that the website was going to do a special promotion to get certain dolls 1/2 price, and they would even come with accessories. I stalked the website like a mad women until that sale came on, and was able to score both of the dolls that were on sale and they came with a few different items, for less than 1 regular price doll! My daughter was super thrilled and I was even happier. The website was super easy to use, checkout was flawless, and shipping was super quick, and VERY reasonably priced. And I was very impressed that with as much traffic as the site was generating for the sale, it was not slow and never crashed.

The American Girl website is a lot of fun. It's super easy to navigate, even for children. The sale section is hit or miss. I have gotten a few good deals from it but a lot of the times the items go so fast that I can't snag them in enough time. You can sometimes find coupons, which can help a little bit. What I love about going to a physical American Girl store is the option to have a graphic t-shirt printed for your doll for $10. They have a large binder full of different graphics you can pick from (cupcakes, birthday cakes, horses, stars, sayings, etc). You can then choose a long sleeve, short sleeve, and the color of the t-shirt. You can even get a girl size one to match for an additional cost. What I love about this service is that these make excellent gifts. The t-shirt is a little bit unique and you don't have to break the bank, which is easy to do in this place. I have yet to find this service offered online. It would be really neat if they offered it in the interactive section because I think it would sell really well.
