Was given an Am. Staff. for Valentine's 14 years ago. She was the best friend a girl could have especially when living with an abusive relationship. When I left the relationship, I took her with me. She slept with me, let me cry on her shoulder and we had a ton of fun together. Many people warned me about the breed but have to say, I'd get another in a minute. She travelled the world with me and was a champ when she had to be in quarantine for over a month (I made daily visits with special treats and snacks). When I had my first child, she was in there like a dirty shirt to see what the interest was all about. She was never jealous that I was giving my attention to someone else. She would allow the child to pull, pinch, crawl, etc. all over her without moving a muscle (unless she decide it was time to lick the poor child!!!! LOL). Needless to say, she loved my child just as much as I loved both of them. She might have looked mean but she was a pussy cat inside.

Mine love kids too! Especially toddlers. I think it's because then they are the same height. LOL. Mine travel too. I am so glad you are having a wonderful experience with yours!

My Am Staff loves to travel also. Barkley is super good with kids and we don't have any. He'll play with any kids that lets him and he's very patient with the ones who take his ball and then don't throw it. In my experience, most people who warn about this breed no nothing about them except what they've heard in the media. I'm glad you had your fuzzy child for so long.
