American Idol Review

American Idol has remained on the top of the charts since it began airing several years ago.  Personally I think it is a very entertaining program.  The beginning auditions are unreal.  Thousands come to be a part of the action trying to make it to Hollywood.  The thing I will never understand is how half those contestants got the nerve to audition they must be tone deaf and delusional.  The actual competition is enhanced by the wonderful set of judges all of whom are unique and entertaining.  Paula Abdul will be sadly missed.  She was so supportive and thoughtful in all her comments and never had a bad thing to say to anyone.  And of course there's Simon who is rude as hell and never considers that the contestants actually have feelings he is sometimes so harsh.  The caliber of competition I feel has improved over the years and the show has in time produced some very successful recording artists to this day.  However seldom do I agree with the judges decisions or the final outcome of the show.
