Most HelpfulThe American Girl Doll is a very popular and expensive product for little girls. The dolls themselves have some nice features such as a variety of hair and eye colors and even skin tones. Each doll is designed with a costume representing a different period in american history. They are decent quality...

read full review »American Girls Dolls are wonderful educational and inspirational dolls. The companion books and accessories are a must as well. My daughter absolutely LOVES them!
I am not a parent but someone who collects dolls. I got my first American Girl doll when I was 8 and I have added to my collection over the years. I am now in college and am still a fan. From colonial-era Felicity to depression-era Kit to the modern American Girl dolls that you can design yourself, American Girl is a great toy for girls of all ages and even grown-ups who like to collect toys.
American Girls are a line of 18' dolls from different eras of American history, as well as dolls of today. You can even choose the eye and hair colors of your doll so that she looks like you. Each doll comes...
read full review »OK, so my daughter really likes this doll. The quality is very good. We purchased the Just Like You doll. We were looking through all of the reviews and found that the dolls with the "curly" hair do not fare as well (so we decided against Rebecca which was one of the dolls that my daughter wanted). This doll came with very nice clothes. She has a soft body and soft vinyl arms, legs, and face. We also sprung for the 7.00 American Girl doll brush (which is nice, but not necessary).
I don't know how long her interest will be in this doll (hopefully quite some time). The doll is about 100.00 and...
read full review »American Girls Dolls are simply the best. I thought, at one point in time, that they would be a complete waste of money to purchase. But when I decided to purchase one for each of my grand-daughters for Christmas last year, the look of amazement and happiness on their two little faces when they opened their gift and saw the American girl dolls, meant everything to me. They were so happy to have these dolls that I would probably buy them another one next Christmas if I knew that I would see their faces light up like this again. These dolls go everywhere with my two grand-daughters. ...
read full review »My daughter loves the American Girl line of dolls and products. Every year she asks Santa for a new doll. She was also fortunate to get a hand-me-down doll from someone who outgrew hers. I would not reccommmend getting one until you are certain the girl will take care of it-they are too expensive to not care for them properly. But they are not fragile and girls get lots of fun and play from them. My daughter plays most when she has accessories to go with the dolls. There are good buys on the web site. Check the sale section often. My daughter enjoys the books that go along with the dolls and that...
read full review »Just to make this clear, I have young siblings and cousins, I myself was once young, and I know small kids, but I do NOT have a kid of my own. I'm too young. Haha.
So anyway, with that out of the way, I have myself two american girl dolls left over from my younger years. I plan to pass them onto my kids once I get some. American girls are a high quality doll with a wide range of looks, different hair, eye and skin colors, and different histories. They can be educational, teaching your child about historical times since they come with their own special books. They are a good example for kids and...

I'm all for capitalism... but to sell a cheap doll for $120 is shameful. Not only for the merchant but for the consumer. What is wrong with you folks? Either you must all work for American Doll Inc. or you need serious therapy. I will state that I am well off and can afford the doll. Yet, everything is MADE IN CHINA. Given, that, AD is more about an exclusive brand - I simply don't buy into it. When I pay more for something, I expect there to be more dfferentation than simply a brand... A fool and his money. I work too hard for my money to fall for the hype. Oh yeah - and the...
