I've always been a Denzel Washington fan, so when this movie came out I of course had to see it.  I was not disappointed.  Ruby Dee was just awesome as his mother, she played a wonderful matriarch.  The whole cast was just great.  Also knowing it was based on a true story made it more interesting for me.  I was amazed though how violent they could be on the streets so easily -- no one stopped them.    This is worth adding to a DVD collection.
