My husband and I had our car and renters insurance through American Family for 5 years with multiple cars. When our daughter and her boyfriend (now husband) moved in we were told we had to add them to our policy because they lived in our house. We were told the same thing about our 23 year old son who had his own vehicle.

It wasn't that they were driving our cars, they just lived here. Our rates went up. We asked if they could have their own insurance but were told that they had to be on the policy because they "might" have access to our cars.

We have been with this company for all of our insurance needs for over 6 years. They are almost like family to us. The customer service is amazing and the rates are the best we've seen!

In March of this year, my family suffered a major fire loss to our home. Most of the house burned to the ground, and what didn't burn was water and smoke damaged. At first the process of starting the claim was a relative smooth one. They set us up in a hotel for the first 11 days, then through a subcontractor, found us a rental home. Although this company is pretty new to Washington, it has been around for 80+ years in the midwest.  We signed our home insurance a year ago with them, and just came up to our first renewal.  The price increased slightly from last year ($10) because of course our home value increased.  Other than that, no big suprises!

We have our homeowner's insurance through American Family Insurance, and I could not be happier.  Our agent is Leah Williams and she has been with us since day one.  She has helped us more times than I can count and American Family has been there when we've needed them.  When we had several water pipes burst over a period of a few months, we simply did not have the money to replace the plumbing.  We put in a claim to American Family and it was taken care of that same day.  We had a check in hand and were able to get our plumbing completely replaced.  And they didn't even raise our rates!
