Having to report damage to our home, not a problem.  But actually dealing with getting the money to get the roof fixed, that was a pain in the neck.  American Family wouldn't give all the money for the fix and the company that did the repairs needed 1/2 down to start the job, so it was a touchy time for us to deal with American Family.  We'd change insurance companies, but do not who has better process for claims and getting the money to us.   As far as coverage for automobile, that is better than the homeowner's insurance.  Pretty quick and concise and not really a problem with taking car...

We have been with our American Family agent for 5 years now.  He is wonderful & so personable.  He has always taken the time to address our concerns & point us in the right direction.  He is like family to us.  I have never had anybody go out of their way for us like this from any other insurance company or any business really.  Unbelievable service.

My husband and I have been with American Family since 2002 for our auto and homeowners insurance.  We've only filed one claim.  That was for a pretty bad car wreck, involving 3 vehicles about 18 months ago.  The wreck was my husband's fault.  We had no problems getting AM Fam to pay the bills.  We were able to take our car to wherever we watned to get it fixed.  I believe the other 2 vehicles involved had no issues either.

Did you know that American Family Insurance runs your credit report and uses that to deturmine the price that you will pay for insurance. At American Family Insurance you can have a clean driving record and no accidents and or tickets and you still may have to pay a high rate each renewal because you may have had some hard time in you past finical situation.   I have had American Family Insurance for at least 6 years, I have car insurance and rental insurance with them.  I have had to use my renters insurance once, I had $250.00 worth of spoiled food, the insurance actually covered $500.00.  My claim was for $250.00 it was easy and fast to put a claim in.
