American Family Insurance is a company that I have insured with for 16 years in the midwest.  I have a personal agent and a number to call 24 hours a day.  The auto claim service is a piece of cake to accomplish.  The home claims are more than fair, prompt and inclusive.  All the time I hear about companies that raise rates after a claim, and AMF has never done this to me.  My rates are actually lower because of the huge list of discounts they apply to my policy when it is reviewed each year before renewal.  I have done some work for this company and I was treated with professionalism and courtesy.  You can't go wrong with them so if you are paying high premiums, not understanding your coverages, can't find a real human to talk to, and need help changing companies then this is the one for you; American Family Insurance.  The agent will handle the transfer of policy for you and you can have auto pay set up.  Really!  This is the most functional company I have ever done business with.  Best of luck to you!
