Good for frequent travelers.

I have been a members of Hilton rewards since 2000. I travel often for work, so use this card when I stay at their hotels. Over the years, they have had American Express, Visa, Chase, and a few other credit companies in charge. With American Express, I have had few issues if any. Its easy to redeem points, you get great discounts on hotel stays, and they offer discounts when dining in certain places as well. Customer Service They are actually great with their customers. I had a couple of charges that I didn't authorize, and they were immediately removed from my card. When I had issues with points and redeeming them, their service team took care of the issue right away. I have seen other complaints with service, but being a member for nearly 15 years, they are one of the best cards I have dealt with in terms of service. Available Rates Similar to any major credit card company and rewards card. I only use it for hotel stays, and pay the balance off immediately so I have never been hit with huge interest charges. Plus, I receive points for future stays, so I can't complain much.

Good Card for Travelers

I have had this card since 2010. I find it invaluable when I travel, as they have outstanding "business" perks in addition to the Hilton Hotels "free nights" Pros: Card has excellent security features. Bonus points add up quickly. I just booked a 4 night stay at a Hilton Honors Vacation Club in Orlando and received $10,000 points, enough for a nice room. Extra Perks at Hilton Hotels, I have been upgraded to a better room every time using my card, sometimes to the Club level. Customer Service - Call center treats me with respect no matter what time I call or reason. Offers 1% and more depending on your terms for certain purchases. I use this card at Costco (only accepts Amex) and again perks add up fast. Cons: High fee: $50+ year for privilege of having card, so you MUST use it alot to make it worth it. Rate: Even with stellar credit, 16.99% which is higher than any other card I use. Website: Extremely difficult and cumbersome to navigate. Many security questions and ask that password be change every 90 days. That could be a positive, but to me it is not. No cash back reward, so you MUST use it only for Hilton property points.

THE ONLY CREDIT CARD YOU WILL EVER NEED!

I have been a Hilton Hhonors AMEX card member since September 1995. In 2015, I will be a 20 year loyal member. This says it all. I have never owned any other credit card continuously for so many years. The service provided by American Express is nothing less than excellent. I have accumulated approximately 225,000 Hilton Hhonor points on my account. This is the only credit card that I will use at accepting business establishments. With American Express, customer service is their number one priority. Customer Service American Express customer service is the primary reason that I make this my number one choice in credit cards. AMEX customer service is outstanding. Available Rates Your APR interest rate is based on your credit history, credit worthiness, and of course the current primary rate thru the Fed.

Excellent!

Not many credit cards pay you back, but this one does! Number one, American Express Hilton HHonors does not have an annual membership fee. Number two, this card offers Hilton HHonors points for each purchase--amount of points vary per vendor. Number three, customer service rocks! Not that I have that many problems to bother customer service. But, when I do, they are right on it within minutes. Wait time on the phone is nothing. Number four, the card has been accepted every place I've tried using it. So, it isn't an issue with card acceptance. As long as I pay off the balance each month -- which I do -- there is no cost. The rates are competitive. Customer Service Amazing customer service! I called once about a trivial issue and they treated it as if it was a national emergency. Okay, maybe not that serious, but they dealt with it promptly and professionally. Available Rates As I mentioned, the rates are competative and as of today the highest isn't over 20%.

Pretty good for travelers that like Hilton.

I applied for this card 5 years ago with the hopes of scoring some free nights. At first I was thrilled. I really enjoyed the card because I was traveling to various places in Europe and the States and could easily gain some advantages. For people who are frequently traveling, this is not a bad card to carry. What I liked was the fact that I earned 7 points per dollar at a Hilton hotel (which includes the Hampton), and 3 points at most places. Then however I realized the rewards points were simply inflated. My wife and I stayed a night at the Waldorf Hotel in Chicago visiting friends and the cost in points - 55,000 points. I spent well over $12,000 on the card to get that reward, which was slightly disappointing. Not using points the night would have cost a little less than $200. So it turned out to be something similar to a 1.6% in rewards per dollar spent. What I did like however was the fact that I didn't have to pay an annual membership fee, so I guess that makes up for the relatively low rewards yield from an AMEX card. I canceled the card after I stopped traveling as much, but for people who travel frequently it can be worth it. For those who visit a Hilton hotel 3 times a year - not so much. Customer Service It's an American Express card, so you know you'll get pretty good service. Available Rates They start off on the high side. My APR was something around 15%.

This is a great card

We signed up for this card four months ago. We were enticed with the idea of earning points for hotel stays, as we travel a good bit for both pleasure and business. Just with our ordinary usage, we are earning points at a great rate. Customer Service American Express Customer Service is top notch. Their reputation is well earned.

rewards are okay, but perk in convenience

We have had this card for a while now, and the rewards are pretty good, but not great. The real benefit with this card lies in your ability to get a room, and often with a lower rate, at any of the Hilton participating hotels. And don't think that this is only good at Hilton, you can use it at Hampton Inn, and any of the Hilton family. We have been upgraded rooms, and given a reduced rate almost everytime we have booked with this card.

The best hotel rewards card bar none.

We are snobs when it comes to giving out our loyalties but the Hilton Honors AMEX is by far the best hotel rewards card we have ever had. Points are easily accumulated and even easier to use. We have had our card for several years and have averaged two weeks of free hotel stays per year just from buying groceries and gas. Last year we switched our regular fee-free Hilton Honors card for the new Surpass Hilton Honors card. There is a $75/yr fee for this card, but after sitting down and figuring out how much the additional points are worth (as much as 12 points to the dollar spent) we were money ahead paying the fee. This card also gives you other benefits when traveling and shopping including extended warranties and car rental insurance. There was a time when we would only stay in a Marriott property but over time they had let their properties get run down. We see a reversal of that in the past couple of years, but the point is Hilton has maintained a higher quality of properties and amenities. Nine times out of ten we are completely satisfied with the rooms and services (depends on location) making Hilton the leader is customer service. Customer Service There is always room for improvement in this department, so I give it a nine out of ten. But honestly, when I have a question or an issue to resolve, I always get prompt, friendly service when I call on the phone. There has never been a time that they did not fully answer my question or fail to meet my need. Available Rates Again, there is always room for better point-to-room values but comparing the Hilton card to our old Marriott card we earn points a lot faster with Hilton and the point-to-room value is better with Hilton properties.

American Express - Hilton HHonors Credit Card has amazing perks.

American Express - Hilton HHonors Credit Card is a great card for travel and earning points. You accumulate points every time you use it. You get 6 points, when you buy gas or when you're going to the store to buy groceries. You get approximately "3 points" when you use this card on anything else, for example, shopping for jewelry, clothing, shoes etc. If you have a good credit rating, they'll give you lots of points to join and some perks to use at Hilton Hhonors too. I can't believe all the cool things you get when using this card. The interest rates for using this card is fair. Just make sure that you pay it off in a timely fashion. You wouldn't want to collect penalties or finance charges. The customer service representatives who answer the phones are so engaging, friendly, personable and they are very good at resolving issues or discrepancies. When you call them, they answer the phone fast. The only time you end up holding awhile is around Christmas time or the holidays. The security you get when you use this card is A-level. They'll let you know right away if anything doesn't look right. The design of this card is magnificent in its beauty. You'll feel like you're rich, and people will smile with envy, when they see just how lovely this card is. You can use this at any Hilton Hhonors or at most other hotels owned by them. One drawback is that you can only use this card in certain places. You can use this credit card with your Hilton's Honor card as well.

American Express Customer for Life

5

American Express is hands down the best credit card compay to deal with, and the Hilton HHonors American Express card gives me all the benefits of American Express AND rewards that allow me to earn free stays at Hilton-brand hotels. Customer Service I'm not super wealthy or super important, but I still get to talk to a real person at American Express whenever I need anything. The Website is set up to be user-friendly, too, which means I can usually find the answers I need without having to call in the first place. That, to me, is also an important element of customer service: anticipate and address customers' needs from the beginning. I call myself an American Express customer for life because I recently had a car rental company claim that I'd damaged a rental car (I didn't) and I had to use AmEx's car rental insurance services to investigate that claim. One phone call, to a very helpful and compassionate AmEx agent, and everything was taken care of. I never had to talk to the car company again. And American Express fought for me, and stood their ground, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. The rental company still hasn't provided everything that AmEx needs for the claim, but I get a letter from AmEx ever 30 days or so, letting me know the status of the claim. Available Rates I don't have the best interest rate, because I wasn't always great with my money in my younger days, but it doesn't matter to me because now I pay all my credit cards in full every month.
