American Crew Moisturizing Shave Cream Review

Ok, ladies we have all done it.  Our shaving cream is empty, the legs are not feeling oh so silky smooth so we grab the husband's shaving cream.  This time I felt a bit of guilt at doing so, after all American Crew Moisturizing Shave Cream is approximately $13.00 a tube.  Then I didn't feel so guilty because I had a coupon from Beauty Brands making this tube free and all my husband had to do was walk in and get it.  

So here we go. .  open tube and try to spread the shave cream on my legs. The first thing I notice is that American Crew Moisturizing Shave Cream doesn't have the "man smell" sort of a minty scent that many other men's shaving creams has. The other thing I notice is this is more like a shaving lotion, not cream. It doesn't bubble or cream up. It's like spreading a lotion across my legs. 

Let's be frank. American Crew Moisturizing Shave Cream is liked by my husband. I think he likes the no muss no fuss of this shaving cream.  But it is the thing that I like least about it! With many distractions in my house, I really need a cream that foams up and tells me where I have been when shaving my legs and where I need to go!  Although there was no annoying scent, a little something would have been nice.  This shaving cream does leave your skin soft and smooth whether it's your legs or your beard.  It is hard to rinse off- again something I don't have a lot of is time. I want to get in, shave and get out.  There is normally someone in the background calling, "Mommy" and I need to keep moving. No nicks and no cuts, which was nice but just not what I needed. 

The "score" is hard to do on this one.  While above average, I just can't recommend it because although it does a good job there are more things I dislike than I like. Guess I better go get my own shaving cream now!
