American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Carrollton, TX Review

I have to give a shout out to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Carrollton, TX.  Relay for Life is an event sponsored by the American Cancer Society to raise money for research, and the support of cancer patients.  Cancer is a devastating disease that has touched every single person in one way or another. 

Relay for Life is an extremely important event where you walk overnight for the fight against caner.  I particularly like Relay for Life because it raises money for all types of Cancer, it doesn't focus on one specific area.  I have participated for as long as I remember and it has been worth every minute of it.  I lost my mother to colon cancer, she was very young and it could have been prevented if it were caught sooner.  Cancer can be defeated, especially if it is caught in the early stages but the awareness is not out there enough which is why events like Relay for Life are so important.

This year I decided to be team captain of one of the teams for the Carrollton, TX Relay for Life and although it has been a challenge and it's not quite over with, we are 10 days away =) it has been worth the whole experience.  I am so proud of my team and all of the teams that are participating.  It is true that one person truly can make a difference and if more people thought like that imagine what we could accomplish.
