American Apparel Crisscross-back tank —

I bought this tank online, hoping an XL would fit me (I'm 36 bust with a 30 waist), and this tank sort of fit me "tankini" style... meaning it was very short and very, very tight.  Perhaps I am just too busty for this style of tank - but a friend of mine also ordered a tank in this style from this company in her size (she is considerably smaller than I am) and had the same complaints.  Now I have noticed that American Apparel is fairly inconsistent in their sizing (I work in a store that sells their stuff), so I should of half expected that.  My experience was a bad one - but yours might not be... I would advise ordering a size or 2 above your own.

Hmm, not sure on the leggins - but the American Apparel website usually has pretty helpful comments from other customers regarding sizing issues on bottoms.

yeah thanks (: as far as the leggings go, any clue as to if the shiny (lame) ones work, they only go up to large, which it says is size 8-10. so a small in the unisex will work? I was planning on ordering a medium. I'm 12/13, but i do want a snugger fit, so you think a small?

I feel that American Apparel stuff is super hit-or-miss. I too am approx. a size 12, so finding stretchy stuff from these trendier retailers is tougher when you're a curvy gal. But typically with women's stuff from there, and XL works just fine... albeit a little tight or short (which I hate). When I get the unisex stuff, I usually buy a Small if I want it to fit snugger or a Medium if I want it to have a more "casual" fit. Hope that helps :)

I was thinking about ordering some clothes from there, but I'm a size 12 and am really worried. I think the unisex stuff might work, I was going to try unisex M or L? Not sure which.. but do you think the women's clothes will fit me?
