American Airlines is a horrible airline to fly

We have had a really hard time working with American Airlines. When we first booked our flights, we booked online. We entered our information in and searched for flights. We were only offered one price, which we were fine with, so we purchased it. We were only purchasing $336 dollars worth of tickets (for two passengers). Then things changed and we needed to change our tickets to a flight that was at an earlier time. We called American Airlines to find out that to change our tickets we would need to pay $200 plus the change in ticket price. Please keep in mind that we are flying in two months, not two days or two weeks. Apparently, you need to say that price is more important to you than schedule to find flights that are cheaper to change. We are now paying close to $600 hundred dollars for an hour and a half flight, two months in advance. Not only this, but when we were talking to American Airlines, a supervisor hung up on me. When I called back, I was told that I hung up on the supervisor. No it was not a disconnection, she was yelling at me and when I asked her last name she shouted it at me and then hung up. Please be advised that if you have to fly American Airlines, be careful of the tickets you purchase in the event you may need to change your flight and avoid calling customer service if you can. They are far from helpful and they treat you horribly. I hope that no one ever has to deal with what we are dealing with!
