Due to some problems with a car rental (see my review on Alamo!) I needed to get a copy of my final itinerary. I had made reservations with American, and changed them twice. Online I tried to access my itinerary but it only showed the original and the first change. So I called Customer Service and they told me that I had to e-mail Customer Relations. Of course there is at least a 24 hour delay on every response...anyway, the first time, they give me the same instructions to access my itinerary that I had already done even though I clearly stated that I needed the FINAL itinerary and couldn't get to it that way. The second time they sent me a form and told me to print it out, complete it, and sign it. I did it the same day and didn't receive a response for about a week. I e-mailed again and told them that and they wrote me back to apologize but still didn't give me what I needed. I don't understand why they purge everything out of the system right after a trip! And make it so hard to do something so simple.
