Okay, vivasuzi gave me an idea for a review and as I was sending her a comment I realized, once again that I just needed to post a review.  I was commenting on her Care2 review. I will also acknowledge this2shallpass19 because while reading Suzi's comments I realized she also did a review on the... read full review »

I had a very bad experience with AOL. They deleted everything in my email account without warning, and had no explanation or apology for it. I logged in one day and everything was gone. I had family pictures, love letters, and 5 years worth of very important things saved. All gone. I was devastated!... read full review »

I would not use AOL in my life time again, because the AOL users can't get on the site sometimes. The site is either freezen or the users computers breeaks down because  computer viruses. I hate the website for this reason myself, I was an AOL user and the stuff what I told in this review happened to me. It was hard to cancel but I got free from them. I wil never use it again.

I receive my broadband Internet service from another provider, but choose to pay for AOL service as well. America Online has great service, and great reliability. I still use the dial up when my other Internet service goes down. They have it all in one place and is not always necessary to search around what you are looking for. I also love their trademark when you sign on "Welcome, you've got Mail". I look forward to hearing from it. I also get double the protection from spy-ware and phis-hing sites. I defidently recommend them and say there service is worth paying for. They do have problems like... read full review »

AOL is anything but America On Liine!  Being relatively new to the internet experience I bought into all the hype AOL offered.  It was a little pricey but I was offered several months of free service.   In the beginning I wasn't exactly pleased with the service but it was free so why complain?  As time progressed the service turned worse. Pages loaded slowly or froze on a regular basis.  The instant messenger often just quit.  Connections were lost and at times it was impossible to connect.  Calling AOL was a case in futility.  The waits were long and the representatives were unprofessional...

I have tried several internet service providers over the years but I always go back to AOL. The prices are reasonable and there seems to be less problems than with other providers. Aol also has a great customer service department.  I have always found them very helpful in solving my concerns. My choices of internet services are limited where i live. I believe that AOL is by far the best internet service provider when it comes to dial-up. Aol offers several price plans. They also offer a free e-mail account. In the past, I have recommended AOL to several of my friends and family members and i will...

AOL is the worst survice out there.  My family been with them for several years, until my mother found out that they was charging extra on her bill.  If that not the case, I used thier messengar and to my suprise, the music sharing device on there, I found that I was sending porn to other people on there that I was talking to along with my family members.  This is the worst service ever. Don't use them unless you are ready to spend extra money on their survice VS the yahoo that is FREE.

I have been using AOL for about 10 years now.  The service is excellent, and I have never had a major problem with the software.  The service, is a bit shaky, as you have to spend quite a bit of time waiting for tech support, but it's no different than any of the other ISP services out there.  AOL combined with Road Runner is a great deal.  The pages load fast, the system seldom freezes, and I'm happy with the bundle.

The service is very poor when trying to get questions answered or problems resolved. The only way to cancel the service is to call, & they try repeatedly to offer you different services so you will not cancel. There are way too many pop ups from aol, & it seems like every time I got on, they wanted me to download updates. I'm a busy full-time college student w/ a part time job, & the hassles are just not worth the service.
