Amelie Review

When I first saw this movie, the connections I had with the protagonist didn't quite click. But by the second time, I was in love. We see her daydreams, her fears, her fantasies, and all the great quirkiness one could hope for in a character - as well as in other ones. It goes over some people's heads sometimes, but this movie should actually increase sensitivity - or at least make people think of others a bit more.

There are so many great things in this film (the cinematography, the dialogue, the talking pictures, the transitions through time, the good deeds being shown, - I could go on, but you should see it for yourself. I've only met one person that didn't love this film, and he could never give me a very good explanation as to why. I suppose I'm not doing good to hype it up for you, which is what probably happened to him. Try to go in with a clear, open mind, and just look for the things I said, but don't try to guess how they will be done. I believe I can say that this is my all-time favorite movie.
